Women would never be able to run the street. 1. most of the time they don’t know what they want, and 2. they would spend too much time gossiping and would loose all the money.

GAM (that’s God Almighty for you heathens). What next? Sec. Geithner announced that if leprechauns had been in charge of Wall Street, he would’ve had better luck muddling through this mess. Of course, no matter what, he would’ve muddled through things and prayed for luck.

Also, he said that the problems would’ve been much smaller had leprechauns been in charge of Wall Street, but had to withdraw this remark after leprechauns complained that it was heightist.

So, then, ZV2, is it your contention that Geithner never mentioned leprechauns? If yes, then why is it that he ignores leprechauns? Does he only take note, let alone honor them, on March 17th?

Soon, leprechauns will be in the streets chanting, ‘No justice, no 4-leaf clovers.’

(P.S.: So, is it Geithner’s position that, if only Lehman Bros. hadn’t fired Erin Callan, then Lehman would’ve survived?

We’d have to close down for 6-12 weeks for Maternity leave and also close early 10-20 days per year when they have to pick up their kids because they have a fever.

hey Fandango, were you really someone’s child? Really??? your mom should have delivered you in the corn field and gone back to work and let you sit at school/day care with a raging fever when you were whatever you were when you were younger – maybe then you would have had some compassion.

But I guess you forgot that the rest of us are human beings; delivering babies and tending to the sick while working full time and running a household are all part of perpetuating humanity in a woman’s world. Doubt you could even walk a mile in those shoes…

Well, well, IJ just wouldn’t let me have enough characters to add the letters ‘ned.’ Oh well, such is life.

Hey, insurance geek, you’re really one dumb a*s freak. You accuse Fandango of being heartless, but then wish that he were abondoned in a cornfield at birth.

Hey, think about these words: pot, calling, kettle, and black. Do these words cause youe tiny, deformed brain to think that perhaps, you’re just another phony, creepy, latently violent lib freak hypocrite?

Well, they should so trigger such thoughts.

Hey, ciao, my little lovely. I’ll bet that you look really, really good in a pair of tight levis. (Yes, I know that you’re a male.)

Hey, then tell the female leprechauns to stand taller. It’s not my fault that they’re short. Why should I have to suffer, because female leprechauns can’t stand tall?

Am I the only one who thinks these hypothetical what ifs are dumb? There would be NO difference as far as policy goes, because any woman capable/smart enough to head a hedge fund or Investment bank would have the same skills/mindset/ruthlessness as a man, otherwise she wouldn’t have gotten there. And I don’t see what is so heartless/cruel about saying mothers pick up kids from school, birth babies, and go on maternity leave. Freaking liberals look for any excuse to get pissed and kvetch about ANYTHING.

Exactly; every lib wants equal treatment, but every lib wants to distinguish everyone from everyone based upon the most inane and irrelevant factors. This inherent contradiction is why all libs are wackos.

Joe – libs want everyone to be equal at someone else’s expense. They think the best way to equalize is to knock down the successful, not raise up the poor. They want to keep the poor down because that’s their constituency; if the poor was no longer poor, he’d want to keep his money because he worked for it, because, afterall, the guy did’nt leave poverty through handouts, but through opportunity. And opportunity doesn’t come from welfare programs, taxing out jobs, and free housing. It comes from hard work and the right mindset, both of which are extinguished through these invasive “welfare” programs.

If you change any factor in this supposition, the outcome might well become different. Suppose Greenberg was still running AIG. Would the Financial Division have produced the same negative results? I think not but this is my opinion and my conclusion might be argued by some.

Acting on the premise that all women are alike and will all make the same mistakes is just as dumb as assuming that all men are alike. We all may be equal before the law but we are far from being alike. Thank Heavens. Perhaps the answer depends on which women would be running the government.

Yes, agree with your opinion of TxAgt’s response. Also, Bones’ last post was a good analysis of the IJ article.

An ancient Greek philosopher wrote that all democracies contain w/in them the seeds of their own destruction, because eventually, those who don’t have want they want will by force of gov’t take from those they that have.

Eventually, the exalting of the least productive over the most productive will be the demise of the democratic society.
