No one knows where the money has gone! and no one will know where the 20 billion goes either.

Send money to Louisiana and you never will see it again. Only place worse than LA is Chicago or Washington.

Serge, I’m beginning to wonder if the American people will ever wise up. Money is being spent by the government like drunken sailors on a weekend leave. The only difference is they are spending our money.

Any time the government proposes to do something for us, we need to understand that it will actually do something to us. I don’t care whether it is entitlement programs, COBRA extensions, unemployment benefits, stimulus or any other government spending, one can normally bet the rent the outcome will likely be bad.

Many of us were paying attention during the campaign and have a very clear understanding of the agenda of the left. Therefore, we are not surprised in the least with anything that has happened over the last 18 months.

The problem is a fair percentage of the general public is completely uninformed. A few factors driving this are:

    1) Failing public education system producing far too many people incapable of critical thinking – I cannot help, but think there has been an intentional effort by the left to dumb down our society to facilitate their ability to implement their agenda.

    2) Far too many people on the receiving end of government assistance and too few people paying the freight – I also believe the tax code has been designed to generate this situation. How can we effectively reduce spending and lower tax rates when the numbers are stacked against those of us paying the freight? And, by the way, I have lost my sense of humor with the notion that lower tax rates is helping the rich and wronging the poor. We have to pay for tax rate reductions? Really? How about a lowering of government obstacles and penalties resulting in a greater ability to produce more wealth….and, therefore, more tax revenue.

    3) Corrupt and irresponsible press – Even with the realities of numbers 1 and 2 above, any and all hope of fighting back against the left seems to disappear due to the shameless propaganda spewed from the press.

Well, at least I have the comfort of knowing I’m a fat cat bringing down a “rich guy” salary. It’s funny, though, that my wife and I don’t feel rich as we simply try to support and raise our five kids while being productive and law-abiding members of society.

    It’s not a stereotype… it’s a fact.

No doubt the funds will be doled out to SEIU or some other union.

    Ok Matt, Stereotype? What?

I think that Mr. Serge makes a good argument for not letting the Pay Csar handle the claims. Maybe the Oil/Environmental Csar, Tony Hayward of BP knew what he was doing when he set up the 20 billion knowing that Obama is going to choke himself politically on it! Now people will complain about Obama’s pay Csar not paying instead of BP. Maybe he should have kept taking Rahm Emanuel’s advice and stayed under the covers in the Lincoln bedroom for another 2 months.

Your right Serge, Stimulas has’nt worked out so well for the economy.

Most state governments track their stimulus dollars. It is very easy to find. My state (Kansas) has used stimulus dollars to pay for infrastructure works on roads and bridges so helps our employment picture. I wrote a very nice size manufacturing account based in Florida the qualified for stimulus dollars. They used the money to buy the company back from a foreign parent company so they needed their own insurance. That premium certainly helped me by putting me ahead of my goal and it helped my company. Many states including Texas, Oregon, Louisana and Ohio offer information on how stimulus dollars are spent. http://www.window.state.tx.us/recovery/transparency/tracking.php and http://www.auditor.state.oh.us/recovery/.
There are many stimulus tracking organizations out there as well.

I did open up one link of yours and had to close it because it made me sick to my stomach. So TX received $172 million dollars on top of what they already have allocated to it to fund recovering child support! Does it really cost more than that? Also, $16 million for the railroad commission of Texas! Are you feaking serious? $235 million to the Attorney General’s office? Again that’s on top of what they already get. What the heck is the money being used for. Free airfair for everyone that works for the attorney generals office, plus full vacation packages? You can’t really hire people, just to lay them off in a year, so we know the money isn’t used for that. I’m really confused and sick. Then to add insult to injury $13 million to the Stephen F. Austin State University. Unless everyone got free tuition this year, where did that money go? Thanks for making me even more disgusted with our wasteful government!!

It is absolutely pathetic that this supposed journalist from Reuters fails to mention Kenneth Feinberg’s current position as Obama’s Pay Csar. This guy is a bought and paid for Administration insider subject to no Congressional oversight. And were simply to trust that this will not be a slush fund?

It is an insult to basic intelligence and common sense that a news article would actually include the word “independent” to describe this matter. It should come as no surprise, though, when the lap dog press continues to print stories as instructed by the Administration.

If Feinberg was the friend of a friend of a friend of a conservative Republican President’s limo driver’s 2nd grade teacher, the press would be screaming from the rooftops.

This news story is yet another perfect example of two reasons liberals continue to advance the ball: 1) totally corrupt and irresponsible press and 2) uninformed general public eating up this garbage and accepting it as gospel.

We have to realize these are deep systemic problems that will not be remotely solved in an election cycle or two.
