Name your own price is the dumbest thing they can come up with. Stripping a policy of quality coverages will come back to bite them.

i think what hurts progressive is that they state they can quote other major companies prices. in many cases, they are not close to the actual. i seen on occasion within my own company that when they call they said progressive said this was your rate, when actually it was even lower. problem, is with the statement from them is they have little clue about how a company does underwrite a policy.

price option? your are correct because folks have little idea of actually what is on the policy even though you might have discussed it. ask them in 1 week, and probably in most cases, they will say, i took what my insurance agent/counselor said. of course, you will have some that understand and truly know their limits. so if i price my own, does that mean my coverage can be an in between coverage? for example if i have 25/50/25 with one company could i possibly have managed to get it with her company with the same pricing but have it at 35/70/30? or will it be either 25/50/25 or 50/100/50? makes you wonder what pricing they are doing…
