Let’s think about this for a second. You have a government body that has more or less sealed you fate (unless congress simply does not fund this bill). You are in essence headed for a cliff. The career path you chose will be forever altered along with the collateral industries associated with you and this same body is now asking you to drive faster? Well since they have signed up 500 new customers, I guess that will put them into an early retirement. I alomost fell off my chair when I read this.

Let’s be honest here. Kathleen Sebelius is a government lifer. The only job she’s ever had outside of government was as executive director and primary lobbyist for the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association, then straight to the Kansas House.
Don’t think for a minute that she understands the economics of insurance or the realities of people who work for a living.
She’s a spinmeister for a Chicago punk, so the words from her mouth are intended to misinform ONLY.

Reminds me of the poster—The beatings will stop when morale improves. This guy has got to be kidding. Spend 1 TRILLION dollars for 7.54 improvement in the “uninsured” pool of 15% (30 million, now 45 Million) on the backs of the recession weary citizenry and BIG INSUANCE, and we all suppose to become cheerleaders. How out of touch can they be. My file works for Blue Cross (Non Profit) and I can’t tell you how much time and effort is being put in to understand and handle this mess of a gigantic bill. This is all time that could have been spent toward other activity. That cost, along with a multitude of other hidden costs don’t get counted in the now over 1 TRILLION in new spending. OH, you haven’t heard that the CB has rounded up the numbers after it looked at the unfunded programs and commissions in the plan, not to mention the “doc fix” which was put aside to make this clust%$& of a plan come in at the magic numbers. The doc fix was a Congressional requirement to drop doctor reimbursement by 21% as a “savings” but that wasn’t done; nor was it added to the cost (unrealized savings). Good grief, how stupid does this Congress think we are.

Quick, name one program this administration has enacted or amended that has WORKED. They continue to jump into areas that they are woefully inadequate at, ram something down our throats, see that it is unworkable or underfunded, then come back and ask for the same group they just trampled to “work with them to smooth the process”. Well, Ms. Sebelius, when you are looking for work in 2013, try the healthcare industry-they will be hiring as many able bodied people as possible to react to the recently amended Health Care bill that you helped to push.

So now the same administration that threw the industry under the bus to pass healthcare reform wants us to work with them. What a bunch of knuckleheads. (I’m thinking much worse thoughts)

    To the Honorable Kathleen Sebelius:
Companies are motivated by profit, competition keeps rates down, Apples fall to earth and that’s the way a healthy US economy works. Just thought I’d mention it in case you haven’t heard or have forgotten
P.S. Recommend you read “Tom Smith and His Incredible Bread Machine” in case they left that off your required reading list for Econ 101.

The country is in an ugly and angry mood, and will great justification. The more people learn about this admins now blatant effort to make America “fair” by redistributing wealth, the more they realize that they have been duped. Healthcare is one stone in foundation (e.g. see the new medicare Czar Donald Berwick’s comments on leveling the wealth).
Cap & Trade, now known as the American Poser Act, is but one more stone. And the head mason is President Barack Obama. Like eating an elephant, the private sector is being digested one piece at a time.

    Mr. President,

Not only does the public not embrace your “Socialist New World Order”. But the healthcare and health insurance industry as a whole does not embrace it either.

Wake up, figure out that we are a capitalist Country and we like it that way! I know you dont agree, but thats what makes America so special and why millions of imigrants keep trying to get into our great Nation.

Transparency is a good thing. The Prez championed it and then abandoned it but it is becoming abundantly clear that Obama Hell-thcare, is not about health but about wealth, moving it around, And antropogenic climate change (formely global warming) is not about climate control but PEOPLE and WEALTH control. Make no mistake about these, and most of his other programs, it is all about the old 20th Centrury Utopian ideal of “social justice” by having the Government spread the wealth. It has now come down to Private Sector proponents v. Public Sector antagonists. The two parties, better get used to the idea that this is where the idealogical lines have been drawn. The Repubs are a bit slow on the uptake but the Tea Party should be their wake-up call.

That is a great quote and so true. It’s also what Obama and the other marxists rely on: the “useful idiots” The day after the 2008 Nov elections I actually heard one of my co-workers tell someone that they voted for Obama because “he just seems like a really great guy.” Now that’s what I call informed voting!

Sebelius rips insurance companies over rate increases. Unlike the federal government insurance companies do not have a bucket of taxpayer money to rely on, they only have their ability to underwrite a risk and charge a premium commensurate for the exposure. Insurance companies don’t have the luxury of raising their debt ceiling either, without the prospect of closing their doors. Let Sebelius rip the companies, it makes for great sound bites in the so-called mainstream news media. That’s what obama and his minions rely on, sound bites and demonizing the opposition. Stick another fork in Capitalism – brought to you by Sheik Obama and his marxist mentality!
