I would like green development to tackle on going problems in all communities. One example, is the problem of power outages when our grid fails us as a result of a rain or snow storm. I don’t understand why communities have to stay in the dark, have to throw away good food due to the lack of refrigeration, have to move to shelters, can’t get gasoline for their cars…etc when we have mobile solar power technology. Power companies should be required to have on hand mobile solar generators to continue to supply the energy needs of a few streets that are without power while repairs are being made. We allow are energy providers and law makers to treat us like 2nd class citizens. When we lose power it is a reminder of how close we are to achieving thrid world status. Green technology can prevent that as well as a successful cyber terrorist attacks on our power grid. We have the technology why do we continue to let corporations and government force us to have to deal with these solvable issues. Something to think about.

One third of the way through this August and no signs of a hurricane. Can a revised forecast be far away? I can’t wait.
