It’s time for people to send a message to these clowns that their non-performance won’t be tolerated. There are no acceptable excuses for not passing “regulations” to improve safety. It’s called bickering and not giving a damn about the public. Governmental agencies and their employees are not held accountable to anyone.

As usual, it all comes down to the dollar and who you believe. The ABA says it would cost $89,000 per bus to implement these safety features. If true, and unless the goverment is going to free up federal money, this is an unrealistic amount for any business owner to be able to afford. What is realistic though, is the fact that legislation can be enacted so that all new model coaches can have all the safety features needed to ensure, over time, that motor coach travel is safer 10 years from now than it is today.
