And yet – State Auto and Hanover are slamming the market with continue pricing well below the market. How do they continue to leave this much money on the table?

I think you’ll see State Auto’s rates return to sanity. They will absolutely do everything possible to keep their Best rating from slipping again.

I worked for Hanover as an adjuster in Arkansas this spring. They dont want to pay their losses so its easy. I fought for the insured but lost.

This will, hopefully, serve as a wake up call to the Travelers of the world. They continually buy business and have offered rates on their Commercial policies that no one could even come close to touching. Let’s see if they now put the brakes on buying business. I would MUCH prefer to have my business insured by a stable Carrier than one going into the market and buying business. Pay a few dollars more today and have peace of mind tomorrow vs. Save a few bucks today and get screwed over tomorrow when the Carrier doesn’t want to pay out on your claim because your policy was underpriced to begin with.
