Lawsuit Claims Microsoft Tracks Customers Without Consent

    So, cutting thru all the BS, they are suing because the camera app in Windows 7 phone still geotags photos (I am assuming because the “Geotag Photos?” option is set to ‘Yes’) when a broader “Location Services” feature is set to ‘No’?

    The article notes this data is “transmitted” — to and from whom? From Microsoft to the User via a GPS ping? Or from the User to Microsoft for entry into some database?
