Senate, House Differ Over Disaster Aid

    It would be easy to find the money to send to FEMA for hurricane relief. Cut the EPA funding by the amount needed or get it from one of those other bloated departments like Education, Agriculture, Commerce, Energy or Interior. If they cut EPA, they could get get a double benefit since they wouldn’t have the funds to go out and shut power plants down or harass businesses.

    That’s right – strip the funding for the EPA. To hell with our air, land and water. The problem is, there have to be checks and balances, otherwise things get out of hand in the other direction. Better plan – cut the disaster fund relief to the districts of the members of Congress who vote against the Senate plan.
