I don’t understand the title of the article. What is a ‘self-reported’ drunk driving incident? That term is not repeated or referred to in the article.

I did a double-take on the headline as well. The article was reporting on a survey where the respondants gave their answers anonymously. That’s where they get the term ‘self-reported’. I thought they meant someone reporting themselves to the cops…

    I see two options. Either:
    1. Those that report honestly in a survey are starting to lie just as our government and WHITE HOUSE or
    2. Improvement can be found from Obama’s ruining of the country. People can’t afford to drive after drinking because they have no money for booze or gas that’s double what it was two years ago!

Bizare logic. I guess rising gas prices, which are now currently lower than they were in 2008, have nothing to do with investment speculation and surging demand from China and India. The econmomy was ruined before the big guy got here. It takes a while for employment to come back. Read your economics. Employment is a lagging indicator….there are a lot of corporations out there with earnings and cash and are not yet hiring.

The fact that booze is a heck of a lot cheaper when you buy it from what ever means you choose, and drink at home. And, with the economy going down the hopper, thanks to “The Big Guy” and his bright ideas – Solyndra for one (no pun intended) for instance, drinking at home is more popular then ever. And a heck of a lot safer too, hence the article. Gas prices are lower now because our ecomony is in such an awful state. It has nothing to do with “The Big Guy” making the price lower. Once we get out of his mess and vote “The Big Guy” out of office, the price for gas will go up again and you can thank OPEC for the increase by the way…

I fear the amatuer a lot more than the guy who drives drunk everyday. The news always covers the the DUI numbers and death toll on “party” weekends like the Labor Day. I personally stay home on all “amatuer nights”, St Patty’s, New Years, etc. If George was a fall-down sloppy drunk he’d be dead in a week. As it is he’s alive and well and selling insurance some place far away.

Yep, the guy who drinks every day knows all the drunk driving tricks like “left thumb mustard, right thumb mayonnaise.”
