Perhaps if you need to use this well intentioned application — you shouldn’t even consider driving~~~~ ya think?

I can see it being used as a video game. If you’re sober you see how high you can make the reading go and if you’re drunk, how low.

You’re right, of course, what was I thinking? I’ll just flap my arms and fly home.

Maybe if they blow into the phone it can determine if they are an idiot or not?

You can also spend your 99 cents to buy a “Ghost Detection” app that also claims to be based on science. I’m sure the results will be equally realistic.

And, for the love of Chthulu, why isn’t this in Sponsored News?

I agree with the fact, it you think that you need to take this before driving anywhere you should just call a cab or a friend! (what APP will be thought of next, it is getting a little “sick”)

u know, if your drunk, how are you going to know how to use the app anyways? now what would be great to add onto the app, is stating, your not ready to drive, let me call you a cab! so the app then calls the local cab and they will already know your home destination, because the app would have stored that info as well…

I hope this app (or similar ones) record some video of this exculpatory evidence. Here in Colorado, law enforcement vehicles don’t have dash cams, and law enforcement officers/troopers don’t wear body cams. Every DWI and DWAI conviction generates revenue for the law enforcement agency, the judicial fund, the new office building DA Carol Chambers bought, and for CDOT. It shouldn’t surprise you that officers have been reported as “jerking the pen” by completely sober drivers falsely accused of DUI. When it’s the officer’s word against yours, every piece of exculpatory evidence is incredibly important. Of course, half the time the judge won’t let it in, and no one would be the wiser but for the annoying tendency of innocent people to file appeals and go to the media.
