So how’s that 21 drinking age working out for you, MADD? 18-20 year olds still getting drunkenly injured? But wait, wasn’t this all supposed to magically go away once the drinking age was raised to 21? And wasn’t it also supposed to make it so 15-17 year olds couldn’t get their older friends to buy it for them? Guess not.

For those who still believe that the 21 drinking age actually saves lives, please Google “Miron and Tetelbaum” to see that the supposed lifesaving effect was really just mirage all along. And Canada saw the same or faster decline in traffic fatalities as the USA despite NOT raising the drinking age to 21. Ditto for Australia, the UK, and several other countries as well.

Let America be America again, and lower the drinking age to 18. If you’re old enough to go to war, you’re old enough to go to the bar. ‘Nuff said.

Laws don’t end bad behavior, they PUNISH it!! Just like the abortion issue, neither side will ever be convinced the other side might have a good point. Actually excessive drinking, no matter what age, is ignorant!! IMO.

Every parent needs to be aware that this could happen to their child. Parent/Teen communication and Education is the key. Talk to your kids, nephews/neices, grand kids, etc.
All our kids are at risk!!!

The statistics tell the true story of adolescents engaging in risky behaviors. Understanding what drives teens to engage in these behaviors is valuable in order to eventually prevent what will lead to alcohol addiction in adulthood.
