Great timing. USA gets dragged into socialized healthcare when Canada and the UK seek to privatize theirs. BO must not have seen the memo!

For the umpteenth time, the PPACA is not socialized medicine. It forces people to purchase private insurance.

The argument that having everyone covered will bring costs down is a joke. The best example is Massachusetts who had the Individual Mandate and covered everyone and their rates have skyrocketed and the system is near broke. This bill says that no one can be turned down for coverage regardless of condition. A sick person can get coverage before they need an operation and it has to be issued. The goal of the Progressives is to drive the private market out so the government has to take over and we will then have single payer government mandated health insurance which has been singularly unsuccessful in Britain and Canada.

Hey, so why don’t we replace BHO with the guy that signed the Massachusetts system into law? That’ll show ’em!

I don’t care much for Romney either since he is basically a RINO. I think he has realized the errror of his way and has pledged to repeal Obamacare when he is sworn in. I bet the Massachusetts Law wasn’t a 2,700 page monstrocity that this is.

I agree that single payer is not the answer. I think we all need to be made aware of the high cost of healthcare and what are the causes of those high costs. And drum roll please……it’s pharma and the medical industrial complex and predatory healthcare. When are we going to wake up?

Sharon, thieves abound everywhere in this system. About a week ago, there was the story how a doctor and his associates ripped off Medicare for $375 million with several nefarious schemes. He was finally caught and has to face the music. If we multiply him by hundreds if not thousands of other doctors, hospitals, vendors who are into Social Security/Medicare fraud, it is no wonder the system is so far in the hole. Politicians have no stomach to clean it up since they have been enriched by the lobbyists, special interest groups.

Let’s see, Rand is a non-profit. Non-profits are able to stay in business by selling their products, surveys and or services to the highest bidder. Looks like the Democrats purchased a custom made survey from Rand to lend credence to their penchant to bankrupt America.

This article could have been written for Rand by one of the Progressive authors of Obamacare. Maybe they got some of that Stimulus money to promote the agenda.

If healthcare reverts to the government as some have opined I think this would be bad for patient safety and good for the profits of pharma. Pharma controls the government therefore the Supreme Court is going to rule in their favor. This is very bad for patient safety and the cost of healthcare because pharma will be allowed to continue poisoning with impunity.
