if we just eliminated the dept of ag entirely we could save a bunch of money and get rid of all this totally outrageous goverment involvement in something they have no business being involved in.

Agree Bob, no need for ADM Archer Daniels and Midland to be subsidized, Exxon Mobile or any other fortune 500 company. We need to get rid of tax credits and a multitude of other subsidies that are old and antiquated but yet still on the books giving corporate wellfare. I am not a big fan of Obama or his class warfare but Government financial assistance is not needed unless you are the poorest of the poor. How about a tax credit for any employer that verifiably takes people off all government assistance. Thats a tax credit I would like to see done.

I’m a Republican but this committee’s action in the House kind of pisses me off. Yeah, Monsanto needs more rebates and we need to keep paying these giant growers for acres and acres of corn for ethanol that nobody wants. Please continue putting that crap in my gasoline artificially and ruining my lawnmower and weed eater.

And to top it off they replace the savings they could have had from that legislation with taking food stamps away from the poor. “We listened to our people.” Hell yeah you did.
