Another issue that the author fails to mention is the ever expanding deer population due to a lack of predators, either natural or human.

I heard an audio of a woman who called a radio station and she wanted the deer crossing signs moved so the deer wouln’t cross roads in congested traffice areas. The DJ was patient with her, but she was an Obama voter and thought the signs would work with the deer population.

Bob is dead on – deer flourish similar to rats in human contact. Nation-wide, today’s deer population is dramatically higher than before European settlement.

The downside of the increased populatin is increased diseases like Chronic Wasting and inadequate food supply in dry years. Effectively, the government “natural resources” management of deer has let them overpopulate beyond the natural ecosystems ability to support.

I have a number of them in a wooded area behind my house and frequently see them behind my fence and I am right in town. Nature has a way of surviving even when man intrudes upon their territory. They are safe in town with no hunting allowed. Once in a while, we see one hit by a car on the side of the road. I guess they didn’t place the crossing sign at the right place, right?

Wealthy communities in urban and suburban areas along with help from nonprofits organization, such as, Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) with their $350 million dollar budget, the Audubon Society and other animal protection groups should be sued for damages to the victims of the deer-vehicle collision. Wealthy communities and the nonprofits have started to incorporated restriction against classified groups with the help of their state’s conservation commissions that stops the management of deer population. Hunting is a scientific practice to manage deer population and for years these communities did not allow the practice leading to the neglect of the deer population and other wildlife. It is time to look at these wildlife laws with the eyes of victims who are injured in body, land, live-stock or business. In addition, communities who are practicing these neglectful hunting restrictions where there is an overabundance of wildlife, such as deer, mountain lions or wolves, should be held for damages and the victims should be made whole. In addition to deer-vehicle collisions, there is damage to plants, Lyme disease. Victims should sue the community and receive compensation for their loss. If the neglectful conservation department, non-profit and community lead to the loss of human live, live-stock, or property damage, the victim should be made whole times three. Furthermore, all legal cost should be added to the compensation along with holding individuals responsible because the neglectful conservation practices are in violation of a victims’ civil rights. This is the greatest way to get action and to stop the modern-day Jim Crow Laws. {Oklahoma’s Conservations Commission Jim Crow Laws stop black people from fishing, boating and bathing in there waterways.} What’s more, holding communities and non-profits responsibility of neglected wildlife manage practices, will help Victims’ families who are killed by deer along changing the communities neglectful conservation departments, non-profits and all who advocate for neglectful conservation wildlife.

If we didn’t have 30 million deer hunters in this country, we would have a much bigger problem with the deer population. The bleeding heart liberal environmentalists scream at anything that is done to manage wildlife populations and do it to the detriment of the farmers/ranchers. The animals have more protection under the law than human beings. Remember the famous Smelt fish incident in California? California wouldn’t release water to irrigate central California during a drought because of fear it would harm or kill a 6 inch fish of no commercial value. The farms dried up, it caused big unemployment and produce prices spiked. California leads the country in dufus environmentalists and the folks are the ones that suffer as a result.

Yes, we need attornies involved in this. Perhaps the Does should get free contraception and the pregnant does should have abortions and that will solve the problem.

No, but the bucks get Viagra as part of their healthcare. Oh, and here’s a thought experiment on abortion for you, Agent:

So, let’s say men could get pregnant. How long ago do you think abortion would have been legalized? And, if you think it wouldn’t be, imagine this. It’s 2 weeks before the Superbowl, Packers vs. New England. Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers both find out they are pregnant, let’s say Tom is 3 weeks and Aaron 2. A) Both of them are going to want to abort B) Their owners are going to demand they abort C) Fans are going to want them to abort D) Vegas is going to want them to abort E) Fantasy Football is going to want them to abort – the list goes on and on and on. And, those in favor of them aborting would probably say what right does anyone have telling these men when and when they shouldn’t start a family. This is the biggest game of the year, for crying out loud!

I know, it’s difficult to get the conservative mindset to allow such a notion as a “thought experiment”. Let’s try it this way:

            1. Man gets pregnant
            2. Man has to quarterback in multi-billion dollar football game
            3. Man aborts baby

            Easier to follow that one?

          Planet:

This is you trying to play the “I say this is equivalent” card to something that is and will never be equivalent.

I’m curious why you didn’t just say if women were men and men were women.

So we’re clear on the actual equivalent: If women played football would they be allowed to have abortions? Is what you just asked.

That is why everyone doesn’t even know where to begin.

It seems more like you said football dictates decisions over gender.

          That’s just…Crazy.

Trying to imply that abortions would have gone through because men have more “power” is flat out wrong historically. Check your history book. It’s literally insane.

When women have a “health” need in this country they drown out men in equivalent areas. We already know this is true. Men bitch about prostate cancer. It has an equal kill rate, it has an equal occurence rate, as Breast Cancer.

Yet breast cancer is a part of the health care preventitive screenings and treatments free of charge, where as prostate is not. When it comes to public funding awarded currently, breast cancer outranks prostate cancer by 7 to 1.

If men could get pregnant I have no doubt that the percentage of people against abortion would go up. Not down. It would no longer be about violating the man’s emotional and financial areas. It would actually be about the baby.

But then again I know liberals don’t like to think “outside the box” or “hypothetical”

          *rolls eyes*

Bob, Planet and Libby just can’t understand why we question Planet’s origins from another planet or whether he may be a good candidate for a frontal lobotomy. All one has to do is read a few of his posts to question his sanity and the complete absence of common sense. I am sure he is upset that the Des Moines Register has now endorsed Romney. Maybe he will cancel his subscription now that they don’t agree with him. This liberal newspaper has always endorsed the Democratic candidate as they did Obama in 08. I guess they realized it wasn’t the kind of Hope & Change they envisioned 4 years ago.

Don’t read the DMR. They even tried giving it away at one of our local gas stations. No need to cancel a subscription. Could care less who they endorse. I wouldn’t have touted it if they went for our President. In fact, I could care less about anyone’s endorsement of a candidate. That’s not how I choose my representation. I research the issues that matter to me and go with the candidate that is going to fight for my beliefs. But, maybe that’s not enough common sense for you.

Excuse me, I am 13 years old and in the seventh grade. I love hunting fishing and anything outdoors. I have killed many deer and been in a few cars when deer were hit(on purpose or accidental). I hunt on a 250 acre track of land that we own. Just about every time I go I see deer. The main problem is when you have all the housing development and neighborhoods that invade the deer’s natural habitat. Yes they will survive still, but this leaves then less places to go and a higher possibility of crossing a busy street or highway. Out of the 6 deer I’ve killed so far hunting on my own I’ve learned that when they are chasing a hot doe they rarely stop. I’ve had deer 100 yards away I had to yell at and them still not stop and just keep walking at a steady pace. Same for a deer crossing a road when after a doe in heat. As long as there are people and deer, there are going to be collisions. At least we have the hunters and predators to somewhat control the population.
