A local candy manufacturer began hiring again and added a new CFO who vowed to review and rebid all insurance. We have had the account for the past 10 years and were able to beat competitors with an aggressive and very thorough plan. It is our second largest account so we pulled out all stops.
I am just a small agency but I recently wrote the flood insurance for a local golf course. The re-mapping in our area now has them in a flood zone. I am fast becoming the flood guru in this area. Banks and customers are referring people to me and I am loving it! And, because I helped the golf course out on the flood insurance so well, I will be quoting the liability and property in the spring. I can’t wait!
I work for a mid sized commercial agency and being in my fifth year, I think I did alright. Booked 6 new accounts for right at 975k in premium. There arent many new producers at my agency so I really do not know how this compares. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks.

Producer X; that’s a nice year! I’m curious as to the industry (ies) those six accounts were in. do you have a niche or were you a generalist?
They were all Oil and Gas accounts, my first. Guess I have a little niche now…Thanks.
thats a great year man, i have been at it 6 years generalst writing all kinds of stuff. but i have averaged about $500k premium a year.
