Time to wean the big corporate farms off of subsidies to not grow crops. The Agriculture Department is a huge waster of tax payer money. They could be cut in half and we would never know the difference. We could be much bigger at exporting food to other countries if we freed up the arable land and really started farming again for export. Our balance of payments would look a lot better as well. Growing corn for ehthanol is also a boondoggle and has caused all corn products to go up in cost and has increased the cost of fuel as well.
