It is amazing to me that there are this many start ups in light of the economy and the heavy regulatory burden of government and lack of credit available these days. Small business entrepreneurs still have the dream of business ownership and are willing to take a risk to achieve success. Many fail, but I applaud them for trying and celebrate the success of those who make it.

Do you have a small business? Do you speak from knowlege? If so, you will know that the economy did not tank in 2008 because of government regulation on small business. The meltdown was a direct result of lack of oversight of the banking industry. You may recall they were selling mortgages like hotcakes and then selling them off as “investments” to large investment banks who who backed their garbage mortgages with exotic, complicated investments like credit default-swaps which blew up when all those garbage mortgages defaulted. That’s why there is a “lack of credit available” for small business. It has nothing to do with too much regulation.
