So how many jobs will be lost due to this new tax? Who invests in America? Those that make more than 200K! So if you pay 30% to the government you just raised this guys tax by 14% when you charge additional 3.8% tax.

2016 can not come soon enough, hopefully there will more that work for a living voting, instead of those that vote for a living like what happened in 2012.

If you are paying 30% tax, your investment income tax still goes from 20% to 23.8%. Hardly a 14% increase.

One thing we have learned Sarah in the past 4+ years is that if Obama says the word investment, it means more spending and more taxes. The latest gambit he is trying out on Boehner is to slightly reduce entitlement spending in exchange for more taxes. I thought Boehner just gave him a tax increase on the 1%ers. He won’t be happy until he taxes the country out of existence.

Hmmm, how can one make a living in a single day? Vote for a living? Do you honestly believe that? Don’t act like a sore loser, Sarah. It’s not very becoming of you.

Good to see you back commenting again Sarah. The Progressive Socialist idea is to put so many taxes on America that the economy implodes and we look like the failed European economies in a few years. Next, they will be after our bank accounts like they do in Cyprus where 40-60% of the accounts will just be taken from citizens to pay for the excesses of government. The good news about Obamacare is that it appears to be caving. The Senate with all their liberals now see that the Medical Devices tax was not a good idea and want to roll that back. All the taxes in Obamacare are a bad idea for the country and should be rolled back.

Just like LBJ’s “Great Society”. He should’ve read “Animal Farm”.

Destroying America from within because Liberals do not understand Human Nature.

If you spread the 3.8% each year over 30 years time, the tax will actually cause the investment to be worth 40% less. Wait, that is what Cyprus is taking from their citizens! Are we now Cyprus?

Not quite Cyprus yet, but I have seen some stories about the government wanting to take control of all the private pension plans including 401K’s, SEP IRA’s etc. There is estimated at about $3 Trillion in the plans and if they government can gain control and just divvy out a small check each month like Social Security, just look at what they can do to spend it up in a few years.

Please cite the source(s) of these stories. I would be very interested to read about this government takeover of private pension plans and 401(k)s.

    Oh Ron,
These guys don’t need silly facts and sources. “Some people say”, is all they need. And then run with it. Oh, and a little “faux rage of the day” to boot.

I wasn’t expecting any response either. I am just interested in Agent’s source(s) of information. That can tell a lot about a person.

The source says nothing about a person.

How the person digests the methodology is another. I will repeat this again: There is no such thing as a “bad” source in the mainstream media companies (in my terminology here, referring to the larger companies)

There is only a divergence in methodology. What shows more about the person you debate with, is when they put more weight into the source as opposed to the methodology.

Moving on: There is/has been several bills seeking to take 401k plans and turn them into a government managed rather than private managed plan (due to mutual funds etc failing). To state this is not a real possiblity from the left (as planet suggests it would never happen) is naive.

Just google it and find the proposed bills. It has been suggested by the 2008 democratic senate, and was again hinted at in 2011 as well as other times.

It’s funny how when democrats put a bill up for suggestion, it would never happen, and Planet doesn’t think it’s bad they did so. If a republican puts up an idea, it could totally happen, and would destroy the nation. Like for example when they decided to change the wording for “forcable” rape, which they only did in order to ensure that statutory rape was weighed differently. Statutory is consent sex. So therfore, should have the same laws as regular sex in regards to the states which limit partial birth abortion to “rape” cases.

Of course planet saw this as “the republicans want people to be raped!” and when democrats looked into the same wording they would never want it passed! For the same logic as he just put “I have seen some stories about time travel, alternate universes, parallel worlds, and talking animals, too”

Planet shouldn’t be listened to Ron. But moving on to you, you actually do know better from what I remember in our debates.

Moreover: The same “forcible rape” bill was also proposed by democrats for the same exact reason…

Makes my example a little more humorous as to the leftist reaction.
