Zurich’s Environmental Site Business Enhances Z Choice Policy

August 8, 2013

Zurich has revised its Z Choice fixed facility environmental liability suite of products to include built in coverage features such as emergency expenses and crisis management.

The new form provides for increased usability and customization to meet insureds’ needs and requirements in an ever changing legal and regulatory marketplace.

One enhancement of the revised Z Choice Policy is the elimination of sublimits within the emergency expense coverage. Bob Newmarker, head of Zurich in North America’s Environmental Site Practice says this change gives policy holders the ability to know that emergency expenses may not be restricted by a specific sublimit.

In addition to the environmental site insurance provisions that apply to core coverages such as clean-up costs, bodily injury, property damage or natural resources damages, Zurich also offers a crisis management expense coverage supplement to the policy. It is designed to help minimize potential issues such as negative publicity and assist to restore a company’s reputation resulting from a pollution event that may attract adverse regional or national media attention.

Zurich also offers a portfolio of optional coverages such as business interruption, mold, transportation of materials and many others on a single policy format for its fixed facility environmental liability policy.
