I wonder what ever has happened to personal responsibility? These football players chose to play this game. Common sense dictates that repeated blows to the head will cause problems, either now or later. These players injuries, are a result of their own decisions to play this game, that is rife with repeated blows to their bodies and their heads. They took the risk, why should the NFL be held responsible for a decision each player made when he decided to be employed as a football player? Lawsuits like this and the fact that they are won, and outrageous sums of money is paid out to individuals who chose to take the risk of doing the activity that caused the injury is a big part of what is wrong with society today. No one takes responsibility for their own personal choices or actions. It seems to me, that whatever happens is always someone else’s fault, regardless of the fact that it was personal choices that created the situation. In my opinion this lack of personal responsibility is down right disgusting.

I’m wondering, when two parties agree to a settlement in a civil case, why does any judge need to stick their nose into the agreement? Maybe trying to get her name in the headlines.
