Argo Pro Launches EPL Insurance Hotline for Policyholders

January 17, 2014

Argo Pro, a member of Argo Group International Holdings, an international underwriter of specialty insurance and reinsurance products, has launched a new employment practices liability insurance hotline to support policyholders’ risk management efforts.

In conjunction with Jackson Lewis, a national employment law firm, Argo Pro has established a dedicated, confidential hotline that is available to Argo Pro policyholders at no cost. The hotline provides callers with the ability to ask questions to a team of legal experts for professional risk management advice on common workplace issues, including sexual harassment, discrimination and wrongful dismissal. While the hotline is a resource for the identification and discussion of employment issues, it is not intended to be a substitute for legal advice or opinion.

“With the increasing complexities inherent in today’s workplace, employers must be vigilant about understanding their unique employment exposures in order to be able to effectively respond to a variety of employment-related issues,” said Laurie Banez, senior vice president, chief underwriting officer, Argo Pro. “This enhanced risk management service recognizes the potential financial loss and reputational damage that can result from employment-related issues and is designed to help our policyholders reduce their exposure to such loss and/or damage.”
