Give some credit to the other drivers too, who can tell a senior is driving because the car is old and big, or because you cannot see a head driving only hands on the wheel. We are more defensive in these cases.

At least you can see their hands on the wheel, as opposed to the teenager who is probably texting and not watching the road at all. Who’s more dangerous?

I follow a lot of snot nosed brats that can barely see over the steering wheel & I can’t see their heads over the head rest & they don’t seem to be able to steer very well (I didn’t say “drive” intentionally)

Better be careful with that assumption, Cheetoh. My 84 year old 5’6″ mother drives a compact car.

Older folks seem to have a better understanding of the damage that a vehicle can do. They may be more aware of their own limitations as well. Too many younger drivers think they are better just because they are younger. Not so! Whatever our age, we all need to stay alert and focus on driving the car while behind the wheel.

Grandpa and grandma may be safe behind the wheel. The rest of us, not so much.
