The real issue that will determine if these become reality is likely the legal issue of who will be at fault when an accident does occur. Will it be Google, the car manufacturer, the driver, a combination and how will insurance cover?

What will happen when the system freezes up, delays, or even reboots itself like my Google operated phone does? I’m not sure anycare will ever be totally free without someone behind the wheel to take over. Unless they have multiple back up systems if one decides to reboot, then the other computer takes over.

What about someone hacking into these or somehow sending a virus to it. It won’t take long for someone or some of these underground hacking organizations to figure it out and cause a mess. Somethings are just meant to have human interaction/control, we don’t have to make everything automated, do we?!?! Good day to all! :)
