Let me disclose I own stock in Boeing, Caterpillar, Cisco, Pfizer and other companies who export their products overseas and this bank probably benefits them. But the I/E bank amounts to corporate welfare. Better to get rid of this, other forms of corporate welfare, elimnate most tax credits and just lower corprate tax rates for all. Fairest and wisest thing to do, which means our politicians probably won’t.

Of all of the agencies we could target to eliminate, it fascinates me that we target the one that returns money to the taxpayers. Can you name another welfare agency that actually makes money for the taxpayers? If the concern is losing money from mismanagement, then management is the key, not eliminating the agency. Perhaps Congress could focus on getting the other agencies to generate a profit (or even just waste less).
