Really, this is what the IRS is spending its time and resources on.

Multi-Billion dollar tax evasion, offshore accounts, moving profits offshore, private jets, company golf courses, lavish entertainment, and the cash economy can wait, we should go after peoples free lunch.

Enforcement actions like these make the IRS look foolish and the American people dislike them.

Sometimes employers are providing the food because they are encouraging employees to eat healthy rather than running to a fast food place (many times unhealthy). Isn’t that a push the President is asking employers to work on a healthy workforce??? The comment: “The other thing I’d like to see them address is the bag lunch question,” he said. “Why can’t people just bring a bag lunch?” OK, not everyone is into a bag lunch. Not everyone makes the extra time in the morning to pack the lunch or the extra time at night to go to the store to buy the items — then there is a refrigeration issue. Geez….. a few employers are trying to make a better work place and the IRS is getting all wiggy about it.

Why does the IRS not go after tax cheats in congress and those working at government agencies instead of wasting their time going after companies that provide food for employees. Another example of the lack of common sense in the IRS, in our government and in our country as a whole.

Where is our stellar (dripping sarcasm) congress and why don’t they intervene on behalf of business? The IRS sees this as a gold mine. It is likely to give the shaft to the taxpayers. The cost to monitor, collect, and punish businesses will offset any revenue increases in all likelihood. The IRS needs to find another windmill to conquer.

The federal government spends more time and money looking for loopholes than the public. No longer is it intent, but how can we get more. They will not be satisfied until it is 100% so they can then administer it “fairly.” Animal Farm is actually a reality. Smart legislators can make it much more simple. Lower taxes, eliminate (all) loopholes, both in corporate and personal. Make it simple and if it is lower, there will not be as much incentive on either side to reinterpret the law.

There is nothing new here with regard to how fringe benefits are treated under the tax code. The rules have been the same since I first started working in an office many years ago. If food is brought in because it is necessary (“convenience of the employer”), then the employer can deduct the expense; however, if the food is a perk, then the employee may be subject to income tax. The theory behind this is that if only salary were taxable, most people would ask to be paid in trade, gift cards, etc.

There you go again, Agent. NO, HE DOESN’T! Since Nixon, the same man has been in charge of both the White House gardens and the White House dog. He’s the White House horticulturalist, and he’s there to protect the gardens and assist the President and his family with the White House dog. Don’t know his salary, but $102K seems about right. And Obama didn’t hire him. He inherited him.

“First lady Michelle Obama’s staff is no different in size than that of her predecessor, Laura Bush — around 25 people — and is based on a similar staffing model,” said McCormick-Lelyveld. “So suggestions that our staff is larger are wrong. While every first lady approaches the job differently, the responsibilities of the office of the first lady have grown over the years to include planning and hosting hundreds of events at the White House and across the city of D.C., planning and supporting domestic and foreign travel with and without President Obama, receiving, cataloging and responding to thousands of pieces of mail, and supporting the first lady’s active schedule in support of the President — hence the staff size for both Mrs. Bush and Mrs. Obama.”

STOP BEING SO GULLIBLE. It’s embarrassing for you.

I met one of Google’s Executive Chefs recently (they have a number of “cafeterias” at the GooglePlex). The food they serve is really top-shelf quality. This fellow trained at the CCA and has 15+ years experience working at some of the nicer joints around he world – big hotels, fancy restaurants and such. He said the interview process was brutal, but he now has his “dream job”. Do a search on “google cafeterias” and you’ll see the quality. Anywhere else in this area, one would pay $25-$50 a day for food like this.

I think the on-site cafeteria, gyms, ping-pong tables, etc started because they wanted their people to stay close to work.

Zingers are ways of insulting people and bullying.

Don’t bully the people here and expect me to remain silent while you say they are the reason you right with them.

That was someone else. Someone else you commonly make the same types of insults with in tandem.

You do not have the right to insult other people, even if they do censor you. And no, his censoring has not caused the attacking.

We fought a long time ago. You have always fought the same way, since you were googlegal was it? And when you did try to censor others. Was it ok for agent to go at your throat for that? Because he did.

Hate to say it this way but “you started it.”.

Regardless of who started it, originally I was telling you, that you get to to man up (or woman up whichever) be the bigger person, and stop doing it rather than saying it will continue until he acts how you want.

Do you treat your kids that way? I’m curious. Do you have kids? My kids do irrational stuff all the time. I would never say “until you act this way, the verbal beatings will continue”. I’m curious how abusive you are in real life. The beatings will continue until morale improves eh?

When all else fails bring in my religion and attack my character eh? That’s exactly what we are talking about not being ok.

Yes. You make choices to debate with people here. It is a blog. And you make choices to debate. When you make that choice, you need to be respectful. You’re absolutely right, that / this, isn’t a open for debate.

I have done my fair share of insulting,

And in every instance, you started with an insult that I responded to.

It is wrong for me to respond to insults with insults, especially in their severity.

But for you to deny you both started, and continue it is absurd.

When you start off calling someone a “republican” as an insult, (what do you expect from a republican has been said by you) they aren’t going to respond with love.

When you start off saying “another right wing zealot” they won’t respond happy.

You have always treated me this way. There is again, fault that I insulted you back just as bad.

            And also to add,

I have not turned this into a discussion about sin and god or crud like that.

So for the love of God (pun intended) stop pulling him in and my beliefs, so you can find an area to attack me on.

            It isn’t ok.

“And in every instance, you started with an insult that I responded to.” That’s a bunch of bullshit and you know it. Now you’re doing the same thing you chastised me about.

YOU are the one 2 years ago that started in with me. Calling me kid, ignorant, stupid, childish, satan. Telling me to fuck off, go to hell, and that I’m a horrible person. Saying you were going to bash my skull in, kick my teeth in, bash my head and all kinds of other violent horrible things.

Now you act like I started everything by insulting you and you just responded in kind? No. That’s a bald faced lie and I will not have it.

You do not have the right to tell how I NEED to treat you. I will treat you the same way you have ALWAYS treated me. With disrespect and disdain. It’s all you deserve from me and it’s what you will get.

If you do not like it, I suggest you stop baiting me.

Bob, Libby blames me for all the ills of the world and I didn’t even vote for her savior once, let alone twice. Progressive liberals cannot help themselves and just have a mean nature to them. They have wrong ideas about this country, apparently don’t like it very much and bought into the whole Hope & Change mantra that is destroying piece by piece.

Yes, Agent. Liberals hate their country and want it to be just like France. Or was it Venenzuela? I forget.

But moving on, we beat our children and force them to watch socialist propaganda on TV 24/7. Then we sent them to school with no shoes on, so they can qualify for government aid. And free lunches.

We want all your money and will stop at nothing to get it. We are secretly racist, homophobic, and down-right ornery. We are the scum of the earth.

Libby, that was a nice summary of Progressive Liberals. I don’t think you are like that, but your running mates Planet & Booger fit the description perfectly. I don’t know where you got the no shoes comment. Kids on Food Stamps often wear Michael Jordan’s to school. Yes, Progressive Liberals do want to re-distribute the wealth into their pockets. Your President has said it many times.

Hey Insurance Nerd, on any article that comes out, if I as a Conservative poster makes a comment, Booger & Planet steal my moniker to post their drivel. They have the maturity of a 10 year old and have nothing to contribute and even their left wing positions are off the chart wrong. They are part of the legion of low information voters who voted for Obama twice and think he is doing a great job. Oops! Things don’t look so good in the country right now. What went wrong?

Hey Cliven…..Oops I think that says it all. I hope you feel the same way when Jerry Jones has to sell the Cowgirls and they move the team to London. Maybe the new owners, The Spice Girls, will keep the “Star” but make it pink instead and they will be forced to wear their colors (Lilac)at home rather than the color of surrender (white). All because Jerry Jones couldn’t stop snorting Viagra and putting his Mr Peeper where it didn’t belong. In Texico you call it part of God’s Plan, rich people call it extortion, and everyone else pays for the aforementioned’s weakness. Pray Tell. How ’bout dem Spice Girls!!!

Agent – your moniker stealing was your own damn fault. Now that you’ve put down the mouse, it has stopped. Your action. Your consequence. Take responsibility. It’s the republican way.

            No. Your action.

No matter how much he censors you, it’s your choice to do moniker stealing.

Intimidation and threats doesn’t get someone to stop and should never be done to earn respect.

Also: You did your own censoring back in the day. I have never, not once, down thumbed any of your posts or any person’s here. You can’t tell me you have never down thumbed someone more than once. I know you have from back in the day.

You want ethics? Then use them. You don’t get to say it’s his fault you gave him a shiner.

            This is classic bullying.

Bob, I have opened up several articles and posted and when I came back to them, there would be 50 or 60 dislikes and these holier than thou Liberals accuse me of downthumbing them. I think moniker stealing is the worst offense and that is Booger all the way. He would make up something vile under my moniker and send it to a fellow liberal like Libby or Ron riling them up even more.

Cliven, I told you I was going to do it and did it. Any other time someone else hacked your “unique” moniker. There have been several people that have hacked your name but obviously you can’t tell by the message they are posting. Put it this way, based on your investigative skillset, if you were guarding ‘Murrica’s borders, we would have you drawn and quartered for treason. Get your thumbs out of your belt loops, lift up your 10 gallon hat, it’s blinding you, and quit kickin’ dust.

Booger post? Huh? I don’t recall talking to you about Txmouth. And, if it is nonsense you are referring to, is that where you typically post? Be more specific about what you are talking to and maybe we can have a conversation. I can do without your censorship though.

Planet, all I did was respond to your nonsensical post and you want me to be more specific???? How is this for specific? Why don’t you post to another site so we don’t have to read either yours or Boogers goofy, insulting posts? How did your company picnic go since you don’t have Christmas parties at your office? I am sure you did a great job with the gunny sack races.

You need to stop acting oppressed.

We can do without your insults.

You aren’t being censored, and even if you were so what? You can rant like a lunatic because someone disliked your posts? The posts still get viewed buddy. And to think it’s agent is definitely a bold assumption.

Oh, it was Agent all right. And it is censorship when one person targets your post and manipulates the voting with his mouse to hide your comment. If you don’t know that is the definition of censoring, you are even dumber than I thought. Now he has stopped doing it and we are back to normal. You may not like that Agent and I bicker, but it’s really none of your business. He gives as good as he gets. Grow up and stop swinging at windmills.

No. Just No. My arguments are then none of your business, but you often butt in and did today, and told me that you could say what you wanted.

So which one is it Libby? Whatever works for you I guess.

Moving forward: No. It isn’t agent, but I will repeat:

I know for a fact a few years ago it was you, when you admitted you were googlegal, who refused to let my comments post.

This is why you call it censorship. You deal with it on such a personal level because you did it yourself.

I know you dislike comments more than once. So I will ask again: Does agent have the ok to attack you now? You are creating excuses rather than stopping the fighting. Excuses and conditions.

Censorship is not bad. I’m aware of the definition. Having your comment grayed out is not censorship.

Don’t tell me to grow up. This is enough. You will back off. I will not be treated this way any longer.
