I’m sure it’s caused by the rich white man so simply raise his taxes and redistribute the wealth and that will fix it.

Jack, I am sure that man is responsible for sinking land as well. Why are we letting people build on seacoast land. They want the taxpayers to bail them out when they get flooded. Look at what happened with Sandy and Atlantic City.

Agent- Here’s how to fix that. You don’t buy flood coverage, you don’t get bailed out. It’s very simple actually.

More floods occur inland than on the coast, you just don’t hear about it like hurricanes.

Don’t stop me from living on the beach if I’m willing to pay for the insurance.

Actually Jack, if you don’t buy Flood Coverage, you still get bailed out by FEMA. Katrina was a very good example. Billions have been poured into New Orleans by the Feds and most of the residents didn’t even know what Flood coverage was. Sandy was another example of promises made to rebuild those areas affected.

What I’m saying Agent is stop bailing them out. It’s kinda like welfare and unemployment. Keep feeding the animals and they will come back for more. There should be a max payout to individuals under welfare and unemployment. Once you reach your lifetime benefit you are on your own.

I am afraid the Entitlement Society we live in has gone too far and politicians keep installing new entitlements every time we look up. They pander to get votes to keep them in office. Democrats lead the league, but some RINO’s have gone along to get along so there is no wonder we have a $17+Trillion deficit with over $7 Trillion in the past 6 years. Liberals argue that to fix the economy, we need to spend more. If that is the case, how come the last $7 Trillion hasn’t done the trick.

So Ron, after weeks, you finally resurfaced to pontificate. I suppose you missed the last tax increase that Obama got passed. It was redistributed into the coffers of the Federal Government. Even though they have collected record tax revenue, they manage to continue to spend far more than they collect. We have record numbers of food stamp recipients, people going on disability when their unemployment ran out and the job picture is still bleak to say the least. Your “Entitlement” President has done nothing to help this economy.

How is it that wealth is being distributed from the wealthy while the top 1% now controls the highest percentage of all wealth (35-37%) than ever before?

Jack – you have a very narrow-minded and naive idea of the world and how it works. I don’t think a man (black or white) that was raised in the ghetto, on welfare, with no father and a crack-addicted mother has the same opportunities that were available to you. Yes, they can go to school and perhaps college, but when you see drug dealers driving around in Mercedes and the only option open to you is $8.50 an hour at McDonalds which are you going to choose? Especially if you have no parents to guide you and teach you responsibility and work ethic.

I’m not saying that gives them a free pass to live on welfare &/or sell drugs. I’m just saying it’s not exactly the very same scenario in which you found yourself growing up. It calls for empathy and the desire to change the culture. Not judgement and condemnation.

Then the democrats should stop blaming white folk for their “choice” to deal drugs and or work at McDonalds.
And white folk can’t change their culture or even discuss changing it without getting called a racist.

The choice is yours whether you are black or white. Right or wrong is everyone’s choice. The problem is right and wrong are being redefined. No compass!

Deep Ocean Water Temperature did not Rise in Past Decade, says NASA

Submitted by Felix Balthasar on 2014, October 7 – 15:35 Headlines
        NASA
        Science
        United States

A new research has revealed that the deep ocean water temperature has not changed in the past decade.

This study is based on the analysis of satellite data whereby the deep water temperature was measured by researchers at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s (NASA) Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The data analysis largely showed that deep ocean water was immune to global warming.

Global warming has largely affected the temperature of upper Earth in a manner that it is leading to rise in global temperature, but surprisingly the temperature of deep ocean water was found to be unchanged since 2005.

The details of this analysis with all the latest findings and observations have been published in the journal Nature Climate Change.

Josh Willis of JPL is the coauthor of the study. He said, “We’re just trying to understand the nitty-gritty details about the research. The combination of satellite and direct temperature data gives us a glimpse of how much sea level rise is due to deep warming. The answer is – not much”. He further stated that these findings do not throw suspicion on climate change itself.

He added that calculation of deep sea water is not at all an easy task as it requires the complete set of details and other data that is collected by NASA’s Jason-1, Jason-2, and Gravity Recovery and Climate Experiment
        (GRACE) satellites.

NASA has earlier stated that the 21st century has witnessed that greenhouse gases have accumulated in the atmosphere as they did in the 20th century, but now the difference is that the global average surface air temperatures have stopped rising in tandem with the gases.

The agency said that the temperature of the top half of the world’s oceans – above the 1.24-mile mark – is still climbing, but not fast enough to account for the stalled air temperatures.

Ebola is not a threat right now. Illegals are bringing diseases you have been immunized against. Who promised you kids would not come down with polio-like symptoms? As far as I know, they don’t have a diagnosis or a cause, so no-one could have or would have made that statement. John Q, don’t buy into the fear-mongering being spread by the right. The first person diagnosed with Ebola in the United States has now died. It’s assumed they have everyone who he had contact with “under observation”. It’s now found that dogs may be capable of being a carrier. It’s not known if other animals may carry. There are many unknowns with this virus. However, what is known is that it most definitely is a threat. Should we panic? No. Is there much we can do about it right now? Probably not. But to ignore the facts and declare it not a threat is a mistake.

You are also mistaken if you believe we have been immunized against all sickness that are brought into the country. Take the flu as an example. Why do people need a flu shot every year? Because it mutates. It’s a different form that your body’s immune system cannot recognize. Even with getting a flu shot, you are only given the strains that are predicted to be in your area. Those on the east coast receive a different mix than those on the west coast. So even within the borders you are not immunized against everything.

Not saying this to spread fear, but it’s important to know all the information.

I know all that Facts. My point was that Ebola is not an imminent threat to John Q. at this point in time. As far as illegals bringing the flu into the country, well, I just have to laugh at that. Please, stay in your house. It’s very dangerous out here in the big bad world. Especially on election day.

Good one facts. What do you think about Obama sending 4,000 troops to West Africa to help “fight” Ebola? What are the troops supposed to do? It seems to me that he will get some troops infected over this. I am sure there are a lot of those young men that are thrilled with the prospect of doing this.

Oh, yeah. It’s much worse that getting blown up by an IED in Afghanistan.

It is also more dangerous to live in Chicago than being in Afghanistan.

Well, I could say it’s a conspiracy of Obama as a practice run to dispatch troops here on US citizens when ebola is officially recognized as a threat.

At ease Libby, I don’t really believe that.

But really, I doubt if he had much to do with the decision directly. He’s not a scientist, not a doctor, not a strategist. He’s a politician, not a very good one, but he excels at public speaking. He can only listen to what his advisors say and then choose which one sounds best. Unfortunately, I think those who were sounding alarms months ago were drowned out by the problems he’s been having as a result of the decisions he’s made.

But back to the point. One of the things our armed forces do exceptionally well is logistics. Getting these guys (and gals) over there and finally getting some facilities in place are something that should have been done long before now. My concern is that it’s too late. It may have already spread beyond containment and we now can only react. If that is the case, then Obama has likely been informed and the deployment is just for show.

Unfortunately, I’d have to agree that some of the troops will become infected. Though it might not have been the fight they signed up for, this too is a threat to the nation they have sworn to protect. My respect and prayers are with them.

Hey Facts, where is the wonderful UN in this picture? Are they not supposed to do humanitarian things and help out countries in crisis? Why is it that the US always has to do everything while the rest of the world sits on their hands and does nothing, contributes nothing and then blames us for anything and everything?
