Great news! It’s about time someone recognized the fact these folks need to contribute to their LIFETIME health care benefits; it’s only fair.

What do you think their dues go towards? You condone someone making a promise and then breaking it? You must be a Republican.

Their dues go to political contributions to the Democratic Party Libby. Why don’t you wise up just once? Unions have been in bed with Obama for years. They didn’t like it much when they lost their Cadillac plans and had to sign up for the Obamacare Plan.

I have to agree with SCOTUS on this one. If the contract doesn’t specify, then the company should be free to make changes. Health insurance is expensive and retirees should make some contribution. Shoot, even military retirees have to pay for insurance and for those that are retired now, they were promised lifetime coverage for free. Things change and companies can’t afford to pay the full cost.

Politics have nothing to do with it. Their dues – if not being skimmed – go to their pensions.

They are probably eligible for Medicare too. It won’t cost them much.
Libby: “What makes you think they want Medicare? What are you a Republican?”
    Mickey: “Yes”
