Anthem is going to send 40 million letters and provide credit monitoring? Wow, there goes the profit for this quarter.

And here we have been telling customers that the Blue Cross site was more secure than Healthcare.gov. Apparently, not so much. Hackers are causing a lot of trouble in business. Their geeks appear to be better than company geeks.

Cybertheft is a huge issue in today’s world and a big reason for that, like you said, is that the hackers are more advanced than the IT folks those hacked companies employ.

PS: I’m sorry Agent – I know how you think I only look for ways to insult you and attack your posts, which I didn’t do here.

I agree that you didn’t insult me on this one. By the way, I just got my bulletin from Anthem Blue Cross acknowledging their problem and cooperating with the FBI etc etc. Hacking is the new wave crime and whether it is coming from China, the Middle East or in some OWS dude in his mother’s basement, they are out to cause business grief.

Credit Cards, Debit Cards, websites all seem to be in the same boat and it has grown from a cottage industry to a major problem. Nothing seems to be invulnerable to a depraved hacker.

Good one Yogi. If you like your Social info, you can keep it. If you like your bank info, you can keep it.
