Jack, why wasn’t Jonathan Gruber consulted for this story?

ERs used as free clinics increase the number of non-payers as well as the total expenditures of ER cost centers. That increases the average cost allocation or overhead loads of other cost centers.

That leads to $4 cotton swabs charged to paying patients after the bloated overhead surcharges are included, up from $3.50 the prior year. What say you Jonathan Gruber? Cat got your tongue, Ezekiel Emanuel?

If you like your co-pay provision, you can keep your co-pay provision – but you will co-pay for many more non-payers under The Obama Careless Act.

Yogi, I think the whole purpose of passing this disastrous law was that it was so bad, the citizens would then demand single payer as a remedy. Of course that is not true, but Progressives think that way.
