Let me get this straight, you want to raise taxes on working Americans who earn their money and lower taxes on people who did not actually earn the money.
What do you care Ron? You have yet to pay Federal Income tax on your earnings so your heirs have nothing to fear since there will be nothing to inherit. They can have a nice little estate sale, make a few bucks and they are out of there.
Hey Agent, only .2% of Americans pay an estate tax. That means 99.8% of Americans will not pay the estate tax. Kind makes your statement seem pointless. And, I think it is safe to say that the .2% wealthiest Americans could easily pay the max 40% rate and still leave enough wealth for many generations of their family enough to live on without having to work a day in their lives. However, I do feel it is wrong when a family business must be sold to pay the tax. That is wrong.
This would be a good problem to have. Additionally, if we are doing our job as professional insurance agents, our clients can put in place the proper documents and financial tools to eliminate or pay pennies on the dollar equivalent for the tax.

Government is the greediest, most corrupt and murderous force on Earth (governments murdered 262 million of their own citizens in the 20th century alone*), but there are those who have a religious faith in government and think that government should inherit all wealth.
Do they believe that government officials and employees are somehow intellectually and morally superior to mere peasants who don’t work for the government? That somehow they will do something magical with the wealth, other than find a way to get it into their own pockets?
Those people deserve the totalitarian state that’s coming.
People pay taxes all their working lives and then the government swoops in when they die and collect the estate taxes. Quite a rip off.
