Ripe for a merger/takeover from a bigger giant.

Or possibly, they could be on the prowl for some smaller regional or super regionals to acquire to fule some fast growth. Cash tends to burn a hole in the pocket if not used.

I hope they don’t acquire any of my regionals since I have already had all the Hartford I can stand. I told them we didn’t need them since they weren’t competitive and always came in last when we quoted them. Impossible to grow.

No international ambition? Chalk that up as another reason why they’re ripe for a takeover. Staying domestic only is a short sighted outlook for a large carrier these days. Change with the global times or be swallowed up. Look like HIG has made up their mind on what they plan to do.
