      Or, “Congress Drones On, Slowly”.

Too little, too late to do much of anything. Might as well outlaw laser pointers, before someone mounts one on their drone…

I am more concerned about a Terrorist or a Crazy person loading some C-4 on a drone and flying into the path of an airliner.

Rosenblatt, I would rather have a slow moving Republican Congress than a Pelosi/Reid Progressive Democratic Congress eager to spend us into oblivion and ruin the country. What are we up to now, $7 Trillion of new debt since Obama took over?

Liberals drone on about why the US National Debt is due what they inherited from Conservatives’ actions. But, what has Obama DONE about it? He added, with help by Pelosi, Reid, and Geitner, more debt that future generations will inherit, and which won’t be realized until after he leaves office. And, ironically, Dems increased inheritance taxes. :(

If Bush and Reagan hadn’t raised the US National Debt so much, the percentage rise in debt by Obama would be much higher than what is stated above (the denominator/ starting point would have been lower). So, Obama should thank Reagan and Bush for making his terrible fiscal performance look relatively better. :)

Rosenblatt, did Obama get attacked on 9/11 necessitating a response from this country? I think Obama has gotten off scot free from major attacks, don’t you think. By the way, Reagan had to rebuild the military after Carter let it go abysmally during his term. He also won the cold war and brought down the Soviet Union. Bush had his faults and gave into Pelosi/Reid on spending legislation and by the way, the sub prime mortgage mess is all on them along with Frank/Dodd for their total incompetence with Fannie & Freddie. Obama is just an empty suit Progressive Socialist who is agenda driven and has foisted Obamacare and the Stimulus that wasn’t a Stimulus on the country.

Peeping Tom’s, that is what my recent experience has been! very spooky! and no sound that I heard, they don’t like loud bangs, they must have been shot at before! Is it illegal for me to shoot at it?

Shooting down a drone is legal, as long as it is under 100′ in the air and completely over your own property. But, you should be aware that you may face criminal prosecution if your property falls within a municipality that has a “no gun discharge within municipal limits” law and you use a firearm to shoot it, or if you miss and your shot projectile hits someone or some thing. But, even if you can’t shoot it down with your favorite shotgun, deer rifle, or handgun, you can still legally take it out with your pellet or airsoft gun, a paintball gun, or even a high pressure blast of water.

Once you have taken it out, you may find the owner will come over to claim it. At that point, you can decline to return it. It’s the same as if it was a baseball tossed over your fence. Once it’s on your property (which the US Supreme Court defines as up to 500′ in the air over your property), it’s yours. If the owner calls the police, explain that the drone was being used as an illegal surveillance device and the owner is a peeping Tom.

      Good luck!

Lori, there was a guy in Kentucky that shot a drone down that had been hovering over his property. He was arrested for discharging a firearm inside the city limits. The fine may have been worth it because the next dufus drone operator may think twice about hovering over his property.

Drones are never silent, the majority are ‘quad copters” with four motors running to keep them up, not quiet.

I have several drones and you would never be able to see in a house with one unless it was 2’ outside a window,,the cameras can’t zoom.

As far as shooting one down, actually its illegal to do so, but if its close enough to really see anything you should be able to hit it with a water hose,,

Maybe the cameras on your drones are unable to zoom, but there are those that can. Plus there’s always digital zoom.
