She doesn’t look like a hamster. The key point is her name is unique. What was HASBRO thinking when it OK’d this toy’s name?

So any one with a last name of Faulkner could claim the same damages? I could see merit if they used her whole name.

No, but someone with the UNIQUE name Harris Faulkner could; i.e. the HASBRO Co. DID use her full name. Did you read the article or glance over the title and decide to comment negatively regarding the suit because it was a Fox News anchor?

Yes, the mohawk and blue eyes – dead ringer for Harris. As far as the name is concerned, perhaps Hasboro was thinking that like Fox News, hamsters do a lot of spinning but go nowhere, too.

I agree with Yogi…. What was Hasbro thinking of using the unique name that was the same as a TV personality. Don’t they have people checking (just try Google) to make sure any toy or product that they release is not using a name that is already being used by someone else?

can names only be used once, if a so-called celebrity had it? I fail to see any other connection. Oversized eyeballs and horrible makeup is not copyrighted last I heard.

Claims it’s a choking hazard but nonetheless, wants the profits from the sales. Perhaps Hasbro should issue a recall, then give her whatever net profits are after ther recall costs.

I did not see a picture of the TV personality in the article…sure would have been nice to compare it to the hamster.

Are you vision impaired. Harris is the hot black lady in the picture. I hope she wins big time. It may also be considered racist in some circles.

glass flower must be a liberal who didn’t read or view anything but the title that included ‘Fox News Anchor’. But if gf does read and view the article, gf will realize that visual similarities are not as important as the use of a unique first & last name combination.

I suppose she MUST have copyrighted her name. Or maybe she authorized one of the bikini sets she seems to have on in a LOT of web images. I just don’t see it. The Kia Soul hamsters have a better chance of winning this one. At least they look like hamsters. Even if they are only “hammers” (like “wiggers” only hamsters).

What green substance that you got from Mother Nature have you been smoking?

Names do not need to be copyrighted to sue for defamation if other uniquely identifying factors are used. Since she is attractive, she isn’t harmed or insulted by giving permission for flattering pics to be published, or not objecting to such pics being published without her permission. However, being defamed by use of her name for a toy hamster is actionable.

They may make up a new leathery doll and call it the Hilliary doll. It will have a voice blaming the vast right wing conspiracy on the troubles.

Republicans blaming liberal media, is because the media is liberal.

And the two parties are not equal on blaming. Obama has a difference in opinion on how to help the middle class, and just what was it yesterday, tried to state that for republicans to even state they were for the middle class was bad form and bad behavior.

Yes that’s right. Obama is so right, to have a difference in opinion on how to help the middle class is not wanting to help them, and you’re a liar for saying you do.

          You need to wake up.

This country was blue for 40 years before we had a republican lead revolution. Do you really think both parties are equal in tactics and success?

          I think not.
