This is just more ridiculousness. Doctors don’t want to treat Ocare patients. The uninsured cannot afford the premiums nor the deductibles. The middle class is relegated to doctors whom they can barely understand. The homeless don’t care.

This trainwreck was obvious from the start yet the Govt Budget Office, as is traditional, lies about the cost. Anytime you include people with pre-existing conditions [many of whom brought the conditions on by living a verry unhealthy lifestyle] you lose. Granted that many of those with pre-exisiting conditons have real disabilities but they are caught in the morass of the self inflicted.

United Healthcare is considering dropping out of Ocare. They cite higher costs but, gee whiz, were they so dumb at the inceptions to not see the obvious. No. What they did not see is that they would not make the profits that they thought they would from meds.

What we need is an assigned risk health care program for those individuals with real physical and mental disabilities. The major healthcare insurers must be forced to share the costs. Those who clamored for health insurance but now do not want to pay due to the cost [hear me, Millenials?] can figure it our for themselves tis time.

Good one Dennis. I have been saying for quite a while that Pools were what was needed for the chronically sick. Instead, they have thrown them all in with the healthy which is guaranteed to make rates continue to rise. Offer one avenue for the healthy, the other for the sick and you might actually control cost. The government could have subsidized the Pools and the cost for that would have been minimal compared to the monstrocity we have now.

FFA, poor Ron missed the statement I made as usual. This country could have subsidized the Pools on the chronically sick to keep their premiums down. They could have then offered coverage to the healthy at much lower rates and had a decent health market. The savings would have been tremendous and would not have ruined the market as they have done with this most terrible of all laws.

Those (Pre X Pools) pre ofnbama crap existed Dennis. They were there for people.

This years enrollment was worse the the original roll out.

It all sucks. Nothing good has come from it.

ofnBama looking towards start ups? Land of Lincoln in IL is another start up that is in trouble. 12 have failed already.

Chicago Crain is reporting Land of Lincoln is in trouble. What a shock.
It also reports that there is only one carrier in the Shop (they call it the Flop) and that premiums out side the Shop are less then inside the flop.

FFA, I read a story today of a lady who opened a Beauty Salon and was successful enough to expand to three more shops and wanted to do more. However, her employees numbered 45 and she couldn’t expand it any more because she would be mandated to provide Health Insurance for all of them. The profit margin would not support that so she decided to remain at her current employee count. This law is a giant job killer as we have been saying right along. Companies cannot grow their workforce and it is a shame.

Are you f-ing kidding me? The administration’s “low brow” marketing scheme now is to try and procure uninformed citizens through web banners ads through a f-ing start-up? And how much is this start up getting paid as a marketing “partner”? How much of OUR money is being used to try and recruit the uninformed, uninsured populace that would rather pay cash for occasional medical visits than pay for premiums? And who are these people they’re targeting? Hint: It’s not millenials. It’s highly likely that it is non-English speaking citizens or people who have been redlined to reside in poorer neighborhoods who don’t exactly have the household income to pay for premium, never mind even care about a tax credit that Obamacare purports to provide.

This is a f-ing joke and I cannot believe this is actually news. How embarrassing for this administration to try and even announce a sham strategy like this to try and get 10.5M people onboard this train wreck of a law.

Supreme, they are still basking in the success of the Co-ops which have been failing at an alarming rate. Time to do the same thing over again and hope for a different result.

Ron, It just too a whole bunch of poorly thought out ideas and made it worse.

Now Billary & Bernie are talking repeal the Cadi Tax. A major piece of funding this joke…. Its imploding right before our eyes and ofnbama is to much of an ego maniac to do anything about it.

FFA, my guess is that the enrollment will be so bad, they will extend, extend, extend like they have done on several other enrollments. Almost nobody likes this joke and many will pay the fines to avoid it. Let’s just hope that America can weather the storm until something is done in 2017 to repeal and replace.

FFA, before I forget it, I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. We have survived 7 years of Obama and we can begin the count down for the last year. It is likely to be a bumpy ride since he has promised he will let it all hang out and try to rule by the pen. Hopefully, he will not get what he wishes on Gun Control and unlimited immigration, particularly from the Middle East.

Supreme, this country is out of control. Just today, Yale students signed petition to outlaw the 1st Amendment to the Constitution. It costs $61,000 per year to send a kid to Yale. These ivy league students are dumb as a box of rocks. They also probably think Socialism and Communism are good ideas like some on this blog. Unfortunately, both ideologies don’t have much freedom of speech.

We’ve had 7 yrs of this sorry wimpy loser. Time for a change.

Thanks Agent…. Merry X Mass back at you.

This years enrollment was worse then the original roll out. Coverage is worse. Networks tightened up. Had several tell me they will just pay the tax because premiums jumped 30%+.
I am currently adding up my expense. $15,400 OOP last year not including premiums, RX and what landed on the credit card. But, its affordable.

FFA, IJ, the shill for the Obama Administration published another story about the success of the new enrollment period. Given the track record since 2010, I hardly think they have any credibility.

I hope you had a good one FFA. By the way, the Packers seem to have lost their way a bit. Their offensive line is in shambles and the Cardinals got 8 sacks last night on Rodgers. Arizona has definitely got on my list as the team to beat for the Super Bowl. They have a lot of great athletes and the coach to go all the way.

This “administration” lies about everything. They are like clueless teens who think they are pulling one over on their parents. As long as we know the truth or, at least, can recognize the layers of lies there is hope in 2016 and later.
