There should be term limits for board members and directors to ensure the composition of the group reflects changes in attitude and culture in the business world. This might help companies (and boards) to stay current and competitive.
Otherwise, it just becomes another paycheck to protect.
It would be interesting to see how many former politicians are on these boards after they leave office.
