Starr Companies Enhance Cyber Terror Response Offering

April 21, 2016

Starr Companies has formed an agreement to offer services from NYA International (NYA) and Abernathy MacGregor as part of the organization’s newly launched Cyber and Terror Response offering. The coverage provides comprehensive coverage for the losses associated with cyber attacks, workplace violence, political violence, and acts of terrorism.

The coverage also offers coordination services including post-event crisis counseling and medical care; temporary relocation expenses; loss of life benefit; privacy crisis expenses; defense costs; and public relations and advisory services.

“The unfortunate increase of violence, radicalization, and cyber-attacks by skilled hackers around the world have made the threat of terrorism and cyber-breaches a fact of life for corporations and their leadership,” said David Cohen, Advisor to Starr and former NYPD Commissioner for Intelligence. “There are threats to everyday business operations, in every region, irrespective of size, and in every sector of our economy. This is simply a reality that corporate executives, including risk managers, must now take into account in a way they didn’t as recently as a few years ago.”

NYA is a crisis prevention and response consultancy with more than 25 years of experience helping clients reduce their exposure to and manage global security risks.

Abernathy MacGregor is a strategic communications firm with more than 30 years of experience advising and helping organizations during times of change and crisis.

Starr Companies (or Starr) is the worldwide marketing name for the operating insurance and travel assistance companies and subsidiaries of Starr International Company, Inc. and for the investment business of C.V. Starr & Co., Inc. and its subsidiaries.
