      What’s wrong about this, Agent?

Don’t you think if people had enough warning of potential coastal surge that said notice could save lives? We’re not talking about global warming at all; we’re talking about estimating coastal surge due to an impending storm.

“For example, during Hurricane Ike in 2008, residents of Texas’ Bolivar Peninsula had their only route cut off nearly 24 hours before the storm arrived. Seven people died on the peninsula from storm surge – several while attempting to escape.”

Even if people only had an extra 24 hours to prepare, wouldn’t that be a good thing? What exactly about this article got you upset?

Probably the math, data and modeling used by the government to help the private companies because he doesn’t believe in math. They should just look at the farmers almanac to see how high the storm will go.

I understand your post actu, but I am sincerely wondering what issue(s) Agent has with the particulars of this article.

I hope Agent is willing to overlook your post, not get sucked into a flame war, and respond to my question.

I don’t always agree with you, but I sure do on this.

I am going to guess he didn’t read the article. He saw, “ocean will overrun” and immediately thought this was about climate change. It has been proven time and time again, he reads the title and not the article itself.

            Rosenblatt,

While I respect what you are attempting to accomplish, I believe we all know he is incapable of responding respectfully and with relevant content.

I pray that someday he will prove me wrong so we may have more civil debates that stay on point.

            Rosenblatt,
Not attempting to “suck him into a flame war”, I’m just stating a fact, what has already been proven out here, that Agent has been known not to actually read the article. I hope he responds to your question as well. I’d love to see it. Cheers!
