Not a jurisdictional issue it is a licensing issue. The normal Med Malpractice policy has “worldwide coverage” but it will not cover incidences where the physician is not properly licensed.
This is similar to the issues involving telemedicine where the physician is treating a patient in another state. A problem arises when the patient is not in their domicile state and calls for medical advice from a state the physician is not ,licensed to practice. The physician may not know that the patient is not in their domiciled state.
These are not on the surface difficult circumstances but could be a problem if rules and regulations are not established that allow the physician to know how to address the state license issue.
Right now, there could be a denial of coverage based on licensing.
