Hey, just like Paul Ryan and the Republicans want to do with Social Security.
Comment makes no sense. It is on track to go bankrupt now under Democrat (lack of) leadership. I’d prefer to keep my own money and save it rather than run it through any govt bureaucrat.
I notice you are in here spouting right won’t nonsense a lot. But actually, idiot, that’s 100% false. You are a liar, or not competent to discuss this. First, Republicans have controlled the presidency for 20 of the 36 years since changes were needed for the Baby Boomers generation. Reagan made changes, as did Clinton and Obama. Both parties, but more so Republicans spent money intended for Social Security. They did so with debt from the US. That only leads to a short fall if we intentionally, for the first time ever don’t pay our debt, and violate the Constitution, like Republicans tried to do during Obama’s presidency.
Social Security has about 25 years where it can pay 100% of the obligations without making any changes. After that it pays roughy 75% forever. That’s not broke, genius. Removing the cap on taxable income removes most of the problem. Doing that and lifting the age slightly, raising rates on top earners, or a few other changes can eliminate all of the shortage.
You are clueless. Most importantly is the fact that you don’t understand the program. Unless most of the workers under the age of retirement stop working entirely it is not possible for the program to go “broke” because it takes in money from current workers each check. You have proven you don’t know the basics, learn them before commenting because you are a negative contribution to both the topic and society. We get it, you are a conservative, don’t know anything, and only care about not paying taxes.
Damn, get owned Wayne, back to climate change denial threads 4 you.
