Former US Senator Tom Coburn is likely correct that the Republicans WON’T address ALL underlying cost issues…. this time.

Hopefully, they will address the cost issues over the next few years, via tort reform for med mal and accounting research into pharma and other costs. In addition, revisions to the ADA approval procedures for new drugs, mimicking that used in Canada, will be introduced either immediately or over the next 100 days or first year of TrumPresidency.

Please note that the DUAL intent of limitation on torts involving med malpractice is to 1. lower the cost of med mal insurance passed back to patients AND 2. to INCREASE the supply of medical professionals who will have lower overhead costs – and thus can practice individually or in smaller medical groups/ medical LLCs than is now the norm. With a greater supply of medical service providers, prices of such will decrease in time.

    MAGA via ACA R&R.

It’s no surprise that a former architect of the ACA, Harry Waxman, US Rep. – CA, would try to defend ACA and criticize ANYTHING that would replace it and prove it to be a failure through the subsequent success of the replacement.

What is surprising is that Waxman speculates that TrumPresident won’t be able to fulfill his promise about the ACA R&R being better, cheaper, etc., but offers no proof or logical construction to substantiate the speculation. Perhaps it shouldn’t be surprising, knowing he is an architect of a structure about to collapse under its own ‘weight’ i.e. ‘faulty engineering design’.

The claim (“I have no doubt about it.”) by Waxman that the lost coverage he projects will result in a shift of claims to WC isn’t supported at all – by any facts or logic. Perhaps this article only reported Waxman’s guess, but not his explanation?

To the contrary, Coburn points readers in the direction of free market competition, and the expansion – if needed – of Medicaid to cover those with limited or no resources to buy health insurance.

I expect bumps in the road and waves in the ocean regarding the ACA R&R transition. IF the R&R plan is properly communicated, the only people complaining thereafter will be those who choose to remain ignorant of the corrective power of a free market and free choice by citizen consumers.

Again, the details must involve the following:

    HEALTH CARE SPECIFICCS
….stay tuned for an explanation of the above AFTER the plan is released later this month or in early April, just before delinquent tax filers apply for extensions. :’)

    Federal Intervention paragraph:

Neither the Dem nor the Republican think the Fed will involve itself in WC going forward. The Obama Administration DOL initiative (i.e. report) to do so is just fake news. It is best categorized as a(n) (now weakened) arm of the OFA Shadow Government trying to undermine the TrumPresidency Administration.

Former Dem US Rep. Waxman failed to provide specific details about pharma cost savings proposed to help improve affordability of HI per ACA R&R that will benefit WC. He did mention the global improvement of costs under ACA R&R. Perhaps he isn’t aware of the Canadian model for pharma approval & regulation? Probably so, because as an architect of ACA, he completely missed on that opportunity to control costs … or perhaps he did so intentionally?

Hey! Is that an acknowledgement of my multiple contributions to the advancement of this topic?! :’)

Coburn points to more of my criteria; HEALTH CARE SPECIFICCS.
Stay tuned for an explanation of that phrase AFTER the bill is published for all to read …. (versus ‘passed so we can see what’s in it’).

Waxman follows up on Coburn’s example on the Amish approach to show he has few/ no clues as to how to fix the mess he helped create. The Amish example ISN’T about money. It’s about CHOICE; aka FREEDOM. That may never be acknowledged by Socialist Dems hellbent on a single Payer, Govt Control Healthcare System.

Now that I’ve said (wrote) what I think needs to be mentioned, I expect an army of BOTs to attack in less than an hour. The only thing is how many will attack conservative comments. I set the over/ under at 25 BOT down votes on my posts above.

Finally, my advice to Libitterals who remain frustrated by events starting on 11/8/16; try to take your mind off everything this weekend. Rent a video, like the Oscar winning La La,Land… uh, Moonlighting (subtitle: Because of the ACA 30 Hour Rule).

Polar, Josh informed me that they have fixed the multiple vote Bots that will seek to hide your comments. That probably won’t keep the worst of the multi moniker bots from voting, but it is slowing it down some. They just have to go to some extra trouble. Good comments. By the way, mixing WC in with Healthcare reform is like mixing oil and water. WC is WC and Health Insurance is Health Insurance.

Agent; WC claim guys and gals are good at fraudetection. They’d spot the health insurance seekers who would try to use their job to cover off the job illnesses and injuries. They’d also be able to tell the difference between a polar bear and an actor in a polar bear costume!

So, this article about the unsupported speculation isn’t a starter for me.
Side note: a colleague outdid any other comment I’ve heard or made on the High BriTax Refugee Patrick Stewart. Said; “Resistance is futile, infantile, and senile. Examples of 2nd point; Millenials, Occupy Wall St. group. Examples of 3rd point; Pelosi, Reid, Schumer, WJ Clinton, HR Clinton, M. Waters, Franken, Sanders, Boxer, Feinstein, Gore, Hollyweird Has-beens doing protest vids, and now, Patrick Stewart.”

I prob forgot a couple of the grey Socialists that were listed.

Polar, let’s just drain the swamp of all the bad dudes from the left and Obama surrogates buried in the bureaucracy that are trying to ruin our new President. The swamp is deep indeed. One thing they didn’t think of is Julian Assange who is releasing a massive amount of info about the spying on American citizens by CIA and other national security agencies.

There is so much that is either wrong or shows the ignorance of the people quoted in this article.

First, both Waxman (human rat if he had long whiskers) and Coburn are a FORMER congressman and senator. They speak as though they have Trumps ear and are still relevant.

Second, any body that wanted to defraud the WC system before by claiming their injury or illness is WC related is still doing the same thing under Obamacare. Just because they have medical coverage does not mean that they are not going to try to get everything paid by WC so that they can also lost wages and disability payments. Medical costs are NOT the real costs to WC.

Coburn is also showing his ignorance about publishing healthcare costs making a difference. It might help in choosing a primary care physician, but it is not in an emergency situation (I can see a mother saying “No don’t fly my injured child to shock trauma, it’s too expensive!). Additionally, most people in this country have private insurance and those insurers have already negotiated savings for their preferred providers. The “published” costs that the hospital would show would be for the person that walks in from the street and does not have insurance.

Coburn also said “the current health care system covers up billions of dollars in waste such that Americans pay twice as much as they should for medical care. He blamed the Food and Drug Administration for some of the high costs.” HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHAAHAHA!!

He needs to take that plank out of the Gov’ts eye before he tries to remove the spec in the healthcare systems eye!! If the gov’t fixed their waste and fraud problem, they could probably pay for healthcare for everyone below the poverty level.

What is even sadder is that the bozo’s that hired them as speakers probably believe every word they said.

    Hey Polar Bear,

your comment about the Oscar winners made me realize that the liberals have been in “La La Land” for the past 8 years and are surprised by all the people who have been “Moonlighting” to make ends meet due to Obama’s policies.

They were tired of Hillary’s “Lion” and thought “come Hell or High Water” we need somebody to build some “Fences” to stop the “Arrival” of the “Nocturnal Animals” sneaking across the border. We would be “Silence”d no more!

Good comment integrity. By the way, the Russian Ambassador was a busy guy. Visited the White House 22 times after the reset button and 6 different Democrats had meetings with him. Hypocrisy much?

      Touche for those movie titles!

I can’t top them, or add anything more at the moment, other than “Hell or High Maxine Waters” hasn’t yet figured the problem in enacting the Biggs-Waters 2012 Act.

@Agent; I previously mentioned Dirty Grandpa from Vermont honeymooning in Moscow, so I need to add that the Clintons arranged for 20% of USA’s uranium 235 (238?) reserves to be sold to Russia, which turned around and sold it to Iran.
