For safety comparison, there should be a measure like “Crashes / Million Miles Driven” for Autonomous GM Vehicles and for (estimated) Manually Driven Vehicles I California.
Alphabet Inc.’s Waymo vehicles crash count seems to be reducing year on year – their algorithms did have a head start.
Government Motors, who had to be bailed out and seemed to have a lot of trouble with ignitions which led to numerous deaths. Not sure they have a lot of credibility.
