Only a Third of U.S. Vehicles with Defective Takata Air Bags Repaired

    I reached out to my dealer about replacing a defective airbag. 300+ people already on their list and the dealer has “no idea” when they will get to me due to lack or replacement parts. Still, Subaru and the class action lawyers remind about once a month that I need to get this repaired.

      Oh, good. Now i don’t feel quite so bad about ignoring Subaru’s reminders…

    I’ve been calling my dealer since May 2016 to be told they don’t have them yet. Now, I’ve been told that I should wait until I hear from Ford about my 2009 Mercury airbag replacement to be available. One dealership told me they don’t handle the Takata airbag replacement. Miami resident.
