The doctors are the ones that are prescribing so I would assume they are consulting their doctor. I always ask and read about the side effects. When do we take responsibility for ourselves? I would have asked is it safe to be on this drug for so many years?
Silly me, I remember the commercials warning of side effects and the warning to consult your doctor before taking it.

This suit did not stop the advertising so I guess they weren’t that worried about it.
