This is just the tip of the iceberg of the reality that Puerto Rico is just another Caribbean bananna republic with no banannas to sell. America needs to cut ties immediately after paying a withdrawal fee. Besides no liberal supports imperialism right? so leave now or be branded an imperialist enabler.

Then the residents can steal from themselves instead under home rule.

Give it to the Red Chinese is another option although there are some things even the Chinese won’t take.

How much does thsi uselss island cost American taxpayers on and off the island each year? Figure a half trillion minimum hard and soft cost included.

Chuck, we don’t want the Chinese that close to the US.
PR never adjusted to the loss of the tax breaks that caused many big companies to leave the island. They need to reduce their government to an affordable level. I believe they have 1 government employee for every 12 Puerto Ricans on the island and that ratio is increasing as people leave for the US.
What they should do is turn into a tourist destination with some self sustaining farming.

Jack, PR was a disaster before the hurricane. Economy was belly up due to Progressive spending without a chance of succeeding.
