This is the NRA’s fault. Wayne Lapierre comes across as a Heinrich Himmler wannabe lunatic. Lapierre has created a PR nightmare for his lobby group (they are not a public service organization as they once were). This will not end well for the NRA. Too bad, because they did some good things for decades before selling out to the gun manufacturers and far right wing nuts.
