IJ, when are you going to stop publishing these “hoaxer” stories? The arctic is cold indeed and the cold temperatures in the US are the result of cold fronts blowing down from the Arctic.
    Give us a break, please.

Yes, let’s take the word of an insurance agent over that of 98% of climate scientists.

What do those 98% of Climate Scientists agree on:
The Earth is Warming? (The Climate is always changing since he beginning of Earth.)
Man is Partially Responsible? Some of it is Natural?
Man is Entirely Responsible? None of it is Natural?
The Oceans will rise 1 foot?
The Oceans will rise 3 feet?
All of mankind will die due to Global Warming?
        A few people will die?
There is nothing we can do about it?
There is little we can do about it?
We don’t know what to do about it?
We can fix it tomorrow by driving a Tesla?
We can’t fix it without crushing the Global Economy?

Hey Down Voters: I asked legitimate scientific questions about Climate Change. And none of you Down Voters can answer these questions? Hello?

Don’t you care about the Planet? If so, tell me which of the questions have answers from 98% of Climate Scientists, and what exactly are the answers.

          I won’t wait up . . .

Yes, let’s take the word of 98% of a subset of ‘climate scientists’ over the word of … millions of (‘general’) scientists who don’t have a political agenda, nor a desire to earn grant money to study and study and study and study and study climate changes… without arriving at a credible answer derived from credible, uncensored / unaltered data.

Climate scientists and 98%. Where did the 98% come from…..? That’s a number made up without any validation. Weather forecasters can not get the weather predicted correct for next week but apparently they know what causes what with 100 percent accuracy…..?Just like 98% Economists can not predict a stock market crash either….

George Orwell was right only a little late. In the world of “Doublethink,” which means the ability to hold two contrary thoughts in your head at once and believe them both, we are seeing cold temperatures because the planet is warming. What will they think of next?

You reference works of intelligence and great satire, and yet, you cannot see past your own nose.

Warm Great Lakes caused increased precipitation that dropped 50 inches of snow on Erie, PA in 3 days. Warm polar climates do the same thing for Noreasters.

Why do people with zero science literacy fall all over themselves to comment authoritatively on scientific matters? That it truly the question of our time.

          Sorry,

should have said “remedial science literacy.”

and I would stand by that comment entirely. It is self-evident reading the comment sections who holds even a high school level understanding of science.

Thanks to the American school system, that number is shockingly low.

It wouldn’t benefit either of us.

Meanwhile bookings are still available on the Crystal Voyager for this years trans Arctic cruise on a 2,000 bed luxury cruise liner, only cost US$26,000. Completely standard Cruise Liner doing it’s third or fourth annual commercial tourist cruise.
Or then maybe get a job on one of the freighters or oil tankers taking the short cut through the Arctic, if you have really wealthy friends with their own big time Luxury craft, maybe you could get them to join all the other private trips ,transversing or circumnavigating the Arctic.

I will admit I have been hunting the archives to find ads for commercial cruises traversing the Arctic even during the n1920’s and 30’s when people were really rich and indulging in all sorts of extravagances – not a hint of an Arctic cruise mentioned
