Thanks. You’re welcome! There is no need to clutter court dockets, but these youths think they know how the Earth’s climate changes over time…. They presume the censored data studies generated by ‘climate scientists’ dependent upon federal grants for income are valid and credible. They have also been duped into believing that so-called ‘climate scientists’ are the only type of scientists able to credibly opine on the correlation of climate change with human actions. I’m glad I could clear up all Global Warming Hoax-Believer misconceptions in this post. Now, if I could only get the FAA to ground Al Gore and Leonardo Di-Capri-pants’ private jets, we’d make great progress in informing the public about the hyuuuuge hoax being perpetrated upon them.

Actually most of the core science has been done by the Fossil Fuel industry themselves – Humble oil (Which became EXXON) as well as all others including Shell did the foundation work in the 1950’s to 1970’s , their early models are still pretty much on track. Gaps have been filled in since, but much of the work over recent decades has been more about what the consequences are going to be and pinning down sensitivity and Earth/Environmental/Biosphere response will be.

Plus of course huge amount of research by the Fishing Industry, Agricultural Industry etc , not just Government funded or conducted

These youths do have not studied the science–both sides. Instead they are being used by an advocacy group (not being aided by..). this is a attempt to get emotions involved to get something where the facts are not sustaining.

Climate change may be too inclusive and encourage more litigation. Obviously the earth has always been changing since formation. Rewarding positive national behavior may encourage more results than providing grist for the american “legal industrial complex”.
Science is rarely “settled” or can nature be mitigated from only the human part of the “climate change”. We need to clean up our own back yard and become be more personally prepared.

Climate Change is real and the stakeholders will continue to deny this reality because of the money involved. When the tipping point is reached there will be no solution and humanity will cease to exist, and just possibly, that’s the way it is supposed to be. It has all happened before.

      Bob:

You said “When the tipping point is reached there will be no solution and humanity will cease to exist, and just possibly, that’s the way it is supposed to be. It has all happened before.”

Really??!!?? When did it happen before that humanity ceased to exist because humans caused the climate to change?

      Facts:
      1) Climate change is real. The climate has always changed and it always will.
      2) Climate change caused by humans is not real in any measurable sense that it is causing irreparable harm. The “science” shows that the warming trend is less than one standard deviation away from normal temperatures. AND, the temperatures used are base upon estimates in many parts of the world.
      3) Humans still need to be good stewards of the environment.
      4) You are correct that the money involved (from the leftist “scientists”) is too great for them to back off.

“Really??!!?? When did it happen before that humanity ceased to exist because humans caused the climate to change?”

Facts: This might be the dumbest take ever. Aside from smaller civilizations being wiped out all over because of their effects on the environment, there’s also the fact that just because something hasn’t happened before doesn’t mean it can’t happen. Humans haven’t had the power to burn petroleum nonstop until relatively recently. But hey, I have both my eyes, show me where jamming a stick into my eye has ever caused me to lose an eye. Checkmate durrrr. Just be honest and say it’s against liberals, that’s mostly how ideology and it’s a religion to you.

          UW

Let’s start with “what was really said” by Bob and “what you are purporting”. Your CNN tactics of responding to only a part of what was actually said are not going to fly with me.

          1) Bob said “humanity ceased to exist” not small civilizations.
          2) Please provide specific documented evidence where even small civilizations were affected exclusively by global warming and wiped out directly. Natural disasters do not count because they occur NATURALLY, and have done so for thousands of years, even before “humans could burn petroleum non stop”.
          3) A stick being jammed into someone’s eye HAS happened before AND the climate has changed before the burning of fossil fuels. DURR. Mic drop!
          4) I am being honest. This is not a liberal/conservative thing. There are people on both of those sides that believe/not believe in manmade global warming/climate change. Although, I agree that the vast majority of liberals think man is responsible global warming and the vast majority of conservatives know the truth. (2nd Mic drop.)

1 & 2: If you think something that has wiped out hundreds of thousands of people cannot happen on a wider scale you are insane. I also don’t care about saying it has to be all of humanity, that is equally stupid. No legitimate scientists are arguing that climate change won’t have devastating effects on humans.

            3. Idiotic. You don’t even understand simple analogies. You can’t even keep cause and effect straight. This is the crux of why conservatives deny climate science-they just are not intelligent on the whole.

            4. It is a liberal and conservative thing. People from 1 ideology in 1 country make up the core of the people who do not believe in climate change, as agreed upon now by almost 100% of climate scientists and published climate science work, after decades of work by independent climate scientists around the world: American Conservatives.

You don’t do a mic drop after a self-own, so I’m not sure what you are getting at, but it’s pretty stupid.

            1) Again, you liberals make wide-sweeping, general statements (aka “all humanity”), but when you are called out, you come up with a lame response and shift directions.
            2) You still have not provided the factual scientific evidence that even one civilization was wiped out due exclusively from fact based (not theory based) man made climate change. When and where did it happen, UW?
            3) I absolutely understand simple analogies, which is why I gave you one. Both situations actually occurred, so they can be reasonably predicted. Man made climate change has not definitively been proven and certainly not to the point that it has wiped out any civilizations, much less humanity.
            4) I’m not sure that the US population of conservatives not believing in climate change exceeds 50% of the rest of the people throughout the world that also does not believe in manmade climate change. I didn’t see that poll, if it exists. I’m pretty sure there are a lot of people in China and India that are not believing in manmade climate change considering they are the worst pollution abusers. (By the way, thanks for proving my point about liberals making wide-sweeping, general statements…See #1, above.)

Lastly, I’m doing my best to have a normal debate with you without any name calling, etc. So. how about we just agree to try to be civil to each other?

Scare tactics didn’t work for Al Gore. Try credible science with uncensored, unaltered data, and set your ‘average status’ after spelling out what makes it so. Then, try to convince everyone like a mature, sensible adult, instead of a fear monger.

Personally I will go with the data – sure it has to be homogenized etc.
If you don’t like the data or models please explain why
However what is happening in the real world is what matters especially to insurers and re insurers.
After all the cost of Natural disasters excluding the December California fires for the US last year was US$306 Billion, nothing for the insurers – think again
When you can identify what is happening and why it is happening and provide experimental measured real world evidence supporting your theory, then I will of course consider that and compare with the alternatives. If you can come up with a convincing replicate-able reason that overturns the current theory, fame, fortune and the Nobel Prize awaits you
