K&K Insurance Launches Program for eSports Teams, Events

K&K Insurance Group, Inc., a subsidiary of Aon plc has launched a new insurance program designed for the emerging market of eSports teams and events.

Coverage offered includes sanctioned events, office premises, scheduled premises of the eSport team practices, participation in eSports competitions, promotional and marketing events, ceremonies and other customary business operations of the insured team. Coverage for eSports facilities is also offered through K&K’s Venues program. No prior appointment or agreement is needed for agents to submit applications for a quote.

Coverage options for the eSports program include commercial general liability (CGL), directors’ and officers’ coverage, property, inland marine, commercial auto, sexual abuse and molestation, crime, excess accident medical (participant accident), workers’ compensation and excess liability. CGL limits of $1 million and up to $25 million of excess liability coverage are offered; higher limits may be available. Minimum premium is $3,500.

The program is designed for the unique needs of the promotion and operation of eSports teams during covered activities for US-based team members which can include housing and recreational amenities. US residents are also covered while promoting and participating in eSports-related activities overseas on a temporary basis.

The program is available in all states; coverage is provided through an insurance carrier rated “A+” by A.M. Best Company.
