I’m honestly not sure which I fear most: the artificial intelligence or the human intelligence…

Well, I am not afraid of AI because it will never be able to sell a policy. UW should be very concerned since AI may take over underwriting functions.

I fail to see how the two are any different? The regular customer does not care about who is selling them a policy. They just want the coverage. Your job is just as expendable as an UW.

I can just see a robot coming into the office of a business owner and then be shown the door after 2 minutes. Regular customers are real people. Robots will not have a sales personality and therefore will not have success. The good news for robot lovers is that they may not demand a commission in the unlikely event coverage is placed.

Why do you still have a job? The robots will be doing it soon.

        Agent,
On more sophisticated coverage and financing options (Captives, large retentions) as well as manuscript coverage, the underwriter will always be needed. We will be needed to act more as a business advisor than simply regurgitating ACORD applications.
        Food for thought.

No need to be that panic as long as it could be as auxiliary factors.

Sooo AI is going to take all our jobs, but we shouldn’t be afraid?
